Edgar Allan Poe was an important vampire-hunting ally in the Abraham Lincoln : Chasseur de vampires (2012) source novel, but does not appear in the film. This short cartoon therefore functions as a "deleted scene" for book purists. There is no historical reason to think that Edgar Allan Poe and Abraham Lincoln ever met.

Goofs
The female vampires maintain a stock of iron maidens for dispatching their victims in 1607. This instrument of torture was invented in 1793 for display in museums.
