As soon as filming was done, Gillis had to rush to the LAX airport to make his flight back to New York. Having no time to wash up or change, he flew in blooded make-up, wearing the same suit he'd worn in the ocean, in a swimming pool and in the soil. His pockets were still full of sand when he boarded the aircraft.
