Based on the novel "Vääpeli Sadon tapaus" by a Finnish author Pentti Haanpää. It was written in 1935, but released posthumously as part of the book "Teokset III" (Otava, 1956) and individually in 1979. The radio play with the same name already premiered in July 23, 1973 at Yleisradio (Yleisohjelma), written by Veijo Meri and directed by Väinö Vainio.
