Witch

I was asked to watch this by a friend, who I've also worked with, who happens to be in the film. Had no idea what to expect, and quite the cynical cinephile.

The story begins seemingly in a whimsical fashion - a cute exploration of childhood imagination - but takes several increasingly darker right-turns, to great effect. It's a fun and concise story.

The cinematograph is crisp, well-lit and very well composed. The sound design is solid. The performances are almost all great, with one exception.

It's a very fun little short, full of imagination, that never overstays its welcome. Very solid.
