    Summary

Reviewers say 'Contraataque' is an engaging Mexican action film with mixed feedback. Praised for its well-executed action scenes and intense performances by Luis Alberti and Luis Curiel, the film's fast-paced storytelling and compact runtime are appreciated. However, some find the plot predictable and the writing clichéd. Dialogue receives mixed reviews, with some finding it believable and others pedestrian. The authentic portrayal of Mexican reality and military themes is noted. Despite varied opinions, 'Contraataque' is generally seen as a solid, entertaining action movie.

    Mexican version of Sicario style

I really enjoyed this movie. I'm not Spanish speaking hell I'm from Sweden but I truly enjoyed this movie. Didn't matter it wasn't in English. I think the acting was on point, photography was great same with effects. I felt it could have gone any way in the end but without giving spoilers it really held me on edge.

There were some minor things I object to or dislike but it's so small it what drags it down to 8/10.

And 8/10 is because I truly enjoyed it. For me a movie is good and I enjoy the whole movie then it's a 10. That's how ratings should work. If there's something I feel could have been better then I degrade it.

But rest assured. It's very watchable. Great action.

Chuck Norris is proud of it

When comes straight to videos a la Cannon films, Contra Ataque falls in that category.

Ye ve the cheesy dialogue, proud been mexiken army(which they misterious) then important el machismo asking since when Netflix is interested in this here review: The story with a low budget play out average n quite dumb un special forces captain is always behind a drug lords operation sending brother finish him off once kill it became a hunt turned into Carpenter masterpiece Asault in Precincts 13. The action sequences ye know there straight out b class material.

The live or die that's hearings Gun n roses song.

Oh do not forget the victims they find house, get arm up with some good old M16.

The thing like that main bad guy is arm with the heavy of em all, call it call duty thang.

Forgot to mention the final fight with the captain n boss, could be awesome if were a Mexican machete, add some Korean taste.

So conclude the film is pure military propaganda like any other, is the stand off seen in many classic western.

But ye want cheap action to kill the time Go for it.

    Getting there

I haven't seen many mexican movies like this, any period. Great talented actors, nobodys going to win a nobel prize for litiature but dialogue was beleivable and engaging. Sometimes it can be hard to watch some films like this but storyline was good nothing cheesy about it. I wish i knew of a true story like this in mexico actually occured and brought to film but the cartel really is too dangerous to provoke. Language, slang and termonology was authentic and beleivable. Alot of action, good action nothing too out there. Am proud of productiona nd whoever was behind it all, overall good quality. Hope theres another!!! Hechele ganas!!

    Hollywood needs to redo this

I Found this movie while I was surfing. This movie has a Great plot, also great action, just needs a bigger budget and better lines for the characters to speak, unless it got messed up in the translation. It also needs a part two right away to continue the plot line. It ended with the next movie start right in the story. I would also keep a couple of the actors and actresses that were in the cast, but upgrade most of the actors. Even though, with the mentioned problems, I loved it and watched every minute of it. They need to not rewrite it, just reshoot using exactly the same story line and I would pay to see it.

    Great for the budget

If you love series like Narcos, you'll like this one. It it great entertaining fir it's budget. Do not expect a masterpiece or The Expendables, and you'll fine.

First, I really enjoyed this kind of Mexican productions like Contraataque. There is nothing new here, but everything is done pretty well keeping in mind the budget.

Second, acting here is good. Even it is an action movie, there are also a few things that are remarkable even the amateurish cast.

Last, action scenes are better than 90% of Hollywood similar movies. No CGI here and great old school action scenes.

So, if you want an entertaining B-action movie, this one is for you.
