    Sheridan took Yellowstone down

This season had some moments, but this episode wasn't one. This was pure egotistical Sheridan garbage. He knows that he is riding the cowboy/Montana wave, but he had managed to kill both. Him putting himself in the episode completely ruins the show and whatever storyline was left. Goodbye Yellowstone and I guarantee that I will not waste my time ever watching a show that has anything to do with Taylor Sheridan. His legacy now is that HE ruined a great show, not Kevin Costner. I need 130 more characters it seems. How many ways can I say that Taylor Sheridan let him being a ham, lead to the death of at one point, a great show.

    Ugh

A disgusting waste of a penultimate episode. We Followed Beth at pool parties and a country music concert with Taylor Sheridan riding his horses for a disgusting amount of minutes in this episode. Kayce barely appears on screen bar the last two minutes (which are good) . What a mess this show has become. So disappointing to watch it slowly become one of the most disappointing shows in recent history. How can this be the second last episode of this show that started off so incredible well?! Shame on you Taylor Sheridan, you should've kept your other writers, you alone are not good enough for this show to stay afloat. You refused to get it ready on time for Costner to return, and you will suffer for it. All of a sudden your entire writing history without your helpers doesn't look as good anymore.

Taylor Sheridan is an egotistical mad man

So far in part two of this season I have had moments where I have been impressed, and other moments where it's felt stale. This episode was by far the most stale. This episode had about 10-15 minutes that felt truly important. Taylor Sheridan hogged the screen of a show that he should just be the writer of. It felt like he was just trying to give a nice middle finger to Kevin Costner, and nobody is on his side. Rather the message that was portrayed was that of Taylor Sheridan trying to make himself seem like a macho, sexy, cowboy. The last 5-10 minutes of this episode really saved it, but it was still stained by Sheridan's ego. I hope and pray that they can tie up the countless plots and subplots in one episode, but I must confess I'm doubtful.

    What a disappointment!

It's sad to watch this show die such a slow, pathetic death. It has been such an excellent show, and then this... We all know the thing is wrapping up, and according to the storyline a lot is stake, but what do we get? We get Taylor Sheridan and more Taylor Sheridan. Instead of action and drama and resolution we get horse shows, horse sales, Sheridan and country music. I don't understand what they are thinking. This episode was slow, boring, and pointless. And while I think Sheridan is an outstanding producer, his decision to needlessly insert himself has ruined what might have been an excellent conclusion to an otherwise outstanding show.

    What was that?

For me this show has been slowly going downhill for the last couple of seasons but this episode just felt out of place. Every character from Beth to Travis to even Rip felt completely different. Beth going down to Texas for a pool party and being completely ok with stripping down to save the ranch? She would've punched Travis for even thinking that were an option. Rip being cool with the idea of Beth doing all of this all because Travis helped him in a bar fight? Travis being some degenerate party boy where every other scene we've ever seen him in he comes off as a laid back cowboy who just loves the life? All of this just seemed so out of place and had nothing to do with the overarching plot.

Kayce Dutton: Can I ask you a question? Business question?

      Beth Dutton: Sure.

Kayce Dutton: Let's take your car. How much is that worth?

Beth Dutton: Uh, it's leased, so it's not worth anything to me.

Kayce Dutton: But if you owned it?

      Beth Dutton: $300,000.

Kayce Dutton: And if you sold that to me for one dollar, would that be illegal?

Beth Dutton: It would be stupid, but it wouldn't be illegal.

Kayce Dutton: Okay. So I buy this car for one dollar. And then I take this $300,000 car that I bought for one dollar and I register it. What do I pay in sales tax? Is it based off what I paid or the value of the car?

Beth Dutton: What are you cooking?

Kayce Dutton: Just answer the question.

Beth Dutton: Tax is based on what you paid for it.

Kayce Dutton: [smiles cryptically] That's what I thought.
