I'm not usually a fan of this genre, but I decided to watch it solely because of one of the actors.
Let me start with the positives: the cast is genuinely likeable. It's a shame, then, that they're wasted in such a poorly made film. Many reviewers have already highlighted the laughable fight scenes, the stereotypical characters, and the heroes' baffling naivety (at times, it felt like a children's show masquerading as a serious, pretentious blockbuster)-and I wholeheartedly agree. That said, against the backdrop of this film's overwhelming ineptitude, the final scene did manage to elicit a good-natured chuckle from me. By that point, I'd accepted it as an unintentional comedy and leaned into the absurdity.
As a Slavic speaker, there was another detail that amused me to no end: a caption on Arkady Dragutin's device reads "podklyuchenie prervannyy", which is grammatically incorrect ("podklyuchenie prervano" would be correct). It's baffling. The creators aimed for a high-stakes blockbuster but couldn't even bother to check their Russian? Marvelous.

Ionly saw this in my local sainsburys saying its a movie so when I found it for a pound in a charity shop I bought it.Now I don't normally review online but since its the 30th anniversary of Alistair Macleans death I felt like saying something.Boy oh boy what a disaster! For starters its not an Alistair Maclean novel its his plot written by John Denis.Alistair Maclean is my favourite thriller writer and I've read all 29 of his books but sadly the film versions are terrible. This one bears zero resemblance to the novel. The characters are so wooden woodpeckers could attack them! The action is fair but maybe its the idea that lets it down.A group of heroes with different abilities having to work as a team with a bit of comic relief is so 1980s.If it stuck to the book more and was made in the 1980s it might have worked better.
Not sure who gives a film crew money to make such an inconsistent, badly acted, hokey film. Nuff said, had high hopes, but they were dashed 10 minutes in.
I must be easily pleased but I really enjoyed it. It filled a few hours on a miserable rainy Saturday afternoon when all I wanted to be was entertained. Like anything with a feisty woman lead. Story was easy to follow and anything written by Alistair McLean is worth a watch. Didn't stretch my imagination too far. Actors were ok. Lots of action. Goodies versus badies. Throw in the American presidential aircraft and lots of shooting action. What's not to like? Don't know what else to comment on. Enjoyed watching it. Perfectly acceptable two part film to watch on an afternoon when all you want to be is entertained.
I thought this would be much better.
I saw that Jeremy sisco was in it and thought why not he is good in FBI I'll give it a go. He is ok in the show but a lot of the other actors are bad and really bad. Some of the scenes are really unbelievable with a lot of errors.
The character who plays Petrovic is constantly smoking cigars and will probably kill himself with lung cancer long before the good guys kill him. This is an ok show to fill a few hours and have a good laugh at bad acting and bad special effects.
Even Linda Hamilton acting has gone downhill.
Hopefully the book was better than the 2 part mini series.
