Skylar Lewis: Chasseuse de monstres

The music, acting, characters, story, and effects were fantastic! The movie never disappoints with bringing the fun and catchy music. It also deals with a great message about facing your fears. Olivia Holt is perfect as Skylar, along with the other actors/actresses' in this movie. It felt very real. I also loved the action and monsters through out. This movie is honestly one of the best Halloween Disney Channel movies.

Monsters are gaining strength and power as they feed on the increased fear of humans on Halloween. Meanwhile, a teen girl who simply wants to enjoy her normal life, discovers she belongs to a family of monster hunters

There is definitely an audience for this movie. Just not a very big one. The problem with movies like this is that they don't age well. The music and the story are geared toward a very specific audience and time period. There's a line in one of the songs that says, "You don't have to try that hard." That feels like the motto for this movie. From an adults viewpoint, it's poorly written and poorly executed to the point that it's hard to overlook and enjoy what's presented here. It feels long and gets repetitious. The acting and dialogue is cringey at times. I've never seen ghostbusters, but from what I know about it, this movie feels like a preteen version of that movie.

The kindest thing you could say about this mess is that the budget was too low so they had to take shortcuts.

Unfortunately if you read the credits you will see that this is a 100% Disney Channel product, so you had one of the greatest and most powerful corporations on the planet behind this film, so you can't merely blame the budget.

You can however blame some overpaid Disney exec blueskying with his team, saying something like "Halloween is upcoming and everyone knows we OWN that franchise but ever since High School Musical, we also have a musical franchise, so let's kill two birds with one stone and do both at the same time. Now, where do we go for lunch today?" This kind of thinking led to the creation of the SPORK.

Nothing is right here -- the writing, the acting, the special effects, the excessive use of colored smoke, easily one of the worst Disney productions of all time.

The Campy Visual Effects And Catchy Soundtrack Give The Movie That Creepy Monstober Ambience That All Of Us 90's And 2000's Babies Were Partial To; So It's Safe To Say That This Was The Last Satisfactory Original Disney Horror Film... 71%!

This movie is enjoyable they should make more movies why do you people hate it? Come on! It's one of the best movies I ever saw My favorite part was when Deimata as that girl went on stage and started singing strangely, that is what you call a movie obviously you people have no good taste in movies whoever criticized the movie it's better than any horror movie and I hated them movies called scary movies 1,2,3,4,and 5 I actually watched a few of them on T.V and I wasn't scared! plus Deimata was really scary looking when the first preview came out last year I was optimistic about it and think it was going to be great I was right It was great it should be the Highest rated movie on Disney channel all the other movies as of the 2010's were HORRIBLE! but I liked the camp rock movies,I really hated teen beach movie,High school musical was good but it wasn't great,Olivia Holt does a good job acting and singing not like actors in other movies compared to her so what are you complaining about?
