The WWE universe is stunned after WrestleMania 41. At the main event of the second day, John Cena managed to outsmart Cody Rhodes and won a record 17th title of his career. While the achievement is a significant milestone in his career, John Cena would not have won it without the support from The Rock and interference from Travis Scott.
The threats now posed by Cena after his win are even more concerning. The now 17-time World Champion had earlier vowed that he would retire as the last real champion and would ruin wrestling for everyone. Amidst such developments, the head of content for the WWE revealed the post-WrestleMania plans for Cena.

WrestleMania 41 is here, and there is already a ton to unpack. For starters, Triple H’s creative plans had to go through some last-minute changes after Rey Mysterio got injured during Friday Night SmackDown. Thus, his scheduled match with the “mysterious” El Grande Americano had to be tweaked, and the masked persona faced off against Rey Fenix instead. Despite the wrestler winning the match by pinfall, it looks like the whole El Grande Americano thing isn’t a fan-favorite gimmick after all.
Triple H might have taken over WWE’s creative control from Vince McMahon, but he clearly isn’t shying away from using a trick or two from his playbook. Unfortunately for him, times have changed, and fans are not too fond of the lucha libre parody anymore.

The 28-year reign of pop-punk icons Sum 41 is finally coming to an end after Derek Whibley announced their disbandment back in May 2023. Unlike the fallout of other long-running bands, there is no hellfire surrounding the end of the Ontario punk outfit that stole the hearts of metal heads and pop lovers alike, begging the question: Why is Sum 41 breaking up?
Formed in 1996, Sum 41 have been a mainstream mainstay since their international debut full-length All Killer No Filler was released in 2001. Their first LP would be their second label release with England's crown-jewel, Island Records. It featured the single "Fat Lip," which reached number 66 on the Billboard Hot 100 list and set the stage for Sum 41's unrivaled career.

There’s no denying the fact that Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 is one of the biggest games of 2024. Right on arrival, the game managed to set a new record for the franchise and developer Saber Interactive.
Space Marine 2 has set a new standard for the gaming industry. (Image via Focus Entertaintment)
While Space Marine 2‘s gameplay is quite addictive, the opinions over its difficulty levels have been heated. A few months ago, few in the community bashed Saber for crafting an absolute nightmare to complete. Now that the developers have toned down the difficulty level, gamers believe Saber has made a bad call.

Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2, as well as the entire Warhammer 40k franchise, is known for its spectacular battles. In the Space Marine sequel, the combat itself is pretty brutal, with blood everywhere. Fights are the essence of this production.

Billie Joe Armstrong knows his enemy — and it’s Las Vegas. Earlier this month, while performing in San Francisco, the Green Day frontman aired out his frustration with MLB team owner John Fisher, who made the call to move the Oakland A’s to Las Vegas. His rant included, among other things, the straightforward declaration: “I hate Las Vegas. It’s the worst shithole in America.”
Las Vegas can’t claim to be the biggest Green Day fan either, or at least not if two local radio stations there have anything to do with it.

Warning! This post contains Spoilers for Star Wars #41
Lando Calrissian's betrayal of Han Solo and his friends on Cloud City in The Empire Strikes Back is revealed to be even worse in the comics, as he endangered the entire Rebel Alliance by giving sensitive Rebellion secrets to Jabba the Hutt. Princess Leia's decision to have Lando arrested and put on trial for his betrayal is understandable, as it was a breach of trust and endangered the entire Rebellion. This twist in Lando's character arc will no doubt improve his redemption as the canon series continues. Lando's journey from traitor to hero is becoming more satisfying and meaningful as Star Wars explores his complicated and somewhat despicable past. Future issues will inevitably delve into how Lando regains the trust of the Rebellion before the events of Return of the Jedi.

Survivor 44 has now concluded, and the finale aired on May 24, along with the reunion episode. Survivor 44's the latest season to continue the show's "new era" format. It has the same 26-day game and three-tribe pre-merge structure as all seasons after season 40: Winners at War. Formerly, Survivor seasons were 39-days long, and mixed up tribe formats often.
Survivor season 44 has been a season of ups and downs for the show. The season 44 cast is exceptional. Players like Carolyn Wiger, Yam Yam Arocho, and Danny Massa have added a great deal of entertainment value to the season. On the other hand, some of the twists on Survivor season 44 have been nearly universally panned, especially the post-merge tribe shakeup that sent Matt Blankinship out of the game.
How Many Episodes Will Survivor Season 44 Have?
Survivor 44 stuck to the usual Survivor schedule. The season had 13 episodes total, plus the aforementioned aftershow, which aired right after the finale.

Kuala Lumpur, May 12 (Ians) The Badminton World Federation (Bwf) on Friday issued a temporary ban on a new ‘spin-serve’ that has had the attention of the world’s top badminton players recently.
The new spin serve was first implemented in tournaments at the Polish Open 2023 in March by Danish doubles player Marcus Rindshoj in the second round of the tournament. Since then, the innovative trick created a rage in international badminton with players across the globe trying their hand to learn this new technique.
“Bwf Council has approved a proposal for an ‘experimental variation’ to the Laws of Badminton to forbid the use of the new ‘spin serve’ effective immediately until 29 May 2023,” the statement from badminton’s global governing body read.
“The amendment to 9.1.5 of Section 4.1 of the Bwf Laws of Badminton now states that the server shall release the shuttle without adding spin, and the server’s racket...

Helen Li is one of the newest cast members on Survivor 44, who plans to use her social game as her biggest asset. The 29-year-old product manager first watched the show after watching Survivor season 25 during her first year of college. Since then, Helen's love for the show led to her applying to be on, seeing it as the ultimate way for a person to challenge themselves.
Survivor season 44's Helen takes inspiration from Survivor 41’s winner, Erika Casupanan, the first Canadian and first person of Filipino descent to win. She recognizes how Erika's bubbly personality contributed to other contestants underestimating her and using it as a strength to get further in the game. When asked about her plans for competing on Survivor, Helen's gameplay is similar to how Erika was on her season.

One of the benefits of HBO Max's "Harley Quinn" being a comedy is that it can explore familiar characters in unexpected, even biting ways. Bruce Wayne may spend his nights as the heroic Batman, but he's also just as out of touch as any other billionaire ("People pay for housing?"). The Joker is a maniacal super-villain, but after a stint with amnesia, he's also developed a domestic life as a suburban dad ("Lots of dads are serial killers!"). Commissioner Gordon is a nervous wreck and totally dependent on Batman, Nightwing has an inferiority complex thanks to Bruce's distant parenting, and being in the Legion of Doom is like a 9-to-5 job for villains, complete with coffee chats in the break room.
However, these details aren't just random; what makes them funny is how they're authentically rooted in the characters' personalities. In an interview with /Film's Ben Pearson, "Harley Quinn" co-creators...

Following the May 4 episode of “Survivor 42,” only seven castaways still have a shot of joining the show’s iconic winners list. Among them is Omar Zaheer, who’s angling to become the first castaway of Muslim faith ever to win “Survivor” after two decades and 41 seasons. As of this writing, the 31-year-old Ontario exotic animal veterinarian is tied for the #1 spot (with Maryanne Oketch) in Gold Derby’s “Survivor 42” predictions, which are determined by our readers.
Omar’s religion has been mentioned a few times on the CBS reality TV show, including in the second episode when he told his Taku tribe mates that he’d be happy to answer any questions they might have. After the merge, Mike Turner watched Omar as he prayed and then started a discussion in order to better educate himself. “We all ain’t that different,” Mike came to realize (watch below). David Dastmalchian is the face of interesting characters. Although it has been nearly 14 years since he debuted as one of Joker’s gang members in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight, the performance remains chilling. Since then, he has continued making a mark as a Wombat in Ant-Man, a Mentat in Dune, and a Polka-Dot Man in The Suicide Squad, amongst other roles. Dastmalchian is likewise the face behind an interesting character: Late-night horror hostess and supernatural warrior Jerri Bartman, who returns for another adventure in the new Dark Horse comic, Count Crowley: Amateur Monster Hunter.
Created by Dastmalchian, with art by Lukas Ketner, coloring by Lauren Affe, and lettering by Frank Cvetkovic, the new volume, available March 23, picks up immediately following 2019’s Reluctant Monster Hunter. Set in 1983 Missouri, the story follows Jerri, an alcoholic TV reporter forced to return to her small hometown to work for her family-run local station.

For the first time since Season 1, the winner of “Survivor 41” will be announced on the island. Let that sink in. There won’t be a cheering studio audience, no emotional family member hugs, not even a live reunion with all of the castaways. Jeff Probst spoke candidly with TVLine about the decision to scrap the live element of the finale and do everything in Fiji this time around, with one of his biggest takeaways being that he misses the “big energy” of having fans in attendance.
“There are pros and cons to both,” said the four-time Emmy-winning host about a live finale vs. a pre-taped finale. “I definitely miss the big energy of the live audience and seeing all the family members of our players. That kind of excitement is very unique because it’s more of an event. But what was really cool about revealing the winner in the jungle was the intimacy.

The Final 7 castaways on “Survivor 41” were in disarray after last week’s shocking elimination of Shan Smith. Her fellow alliance members Ricard Foye, Danny McCray and Deshawn Radden had just turned on Shan and Liana Wallace, which left the door open for one of the underdogs — Heather Aldret, Erika Casupanan and Xander Hastings — to pull through. So how did this week’s “Do or Die” twist shake up the game?

When we offered up our first power rankings for “Survivor 41,” Jeff Probst had just dropped the merge challenge bombshell on the remaining 12 castaways. Then, Shan Smith had positioned herself to win with multiple advantages in her pocket, the foundation of a powerful alliance, and was getting a heavily favorable edit every episode. Now, after Wednesday’s tenth episode, Shan is out and only seven are left to claim the million dollars.
Below we roll out our second “Survivor 41” power rankings of the season, and with our previous frontrunner sitting on the jury, control of the game is up for grabs. Ricard Foye may have made the power move and Deshawn Radden might be the snake, but is there a bigger threat lurking in the shadows? One of the most buzzed-about players on “Survivor 41,” Shan Smith from Washington, D.C., was eliminated from Wednesday’s 10th episode in an epic blindside. The 34-year-old pastor went out with a bang as she praised Bff Ricard Foye (saying she’d vote for him to win the $1 million) and blasted alliance member Deshawn Radden (whom she called a “snake”). Shan is now the second player in as many weeks to go home with a hidden immunity idol in their pocket, following Naseer Muttalif last week.

Liana Wallace may hate Xander Hastings‘ face, but “Survivor 41” viewers can’t get enough of it. The 20-year-old app developer from Chicago, Illinois earned a whopping 61% in our recent poll that asked our readers to name their favorite “Survivor 41” player among the Top 8. No one else even comes close. In fact, there’s a two-way tie for second place between Erika Casupanan and Ricard Foye, but they only come in with 9% support apiece.

Survivor -- double time! There were two teams, two individual immunities, and two castaways voted off.
On Survivor Season 41 Episode 9, we said goodbye to two lovable fan favorites. It wasn't fair, but Survivor seldom is.
There was so much drama that tribal councils took up over half of the episode!
Deshawn and Shan can't seem to make up their minds about each other.
It's clear Deshawn and Shan know they need each other, and respect one another enough to keep doing the work to maintain their alliance, but it's wearing on both of them.

In a game of strategy and social bonds, challenge strength remains an important component in “Survivor” 20 years later. Opinion is split on how much value there is in Immunity Challenge wins, but more often than not, they have helped players beast their way to the end and even with the $1 million prize. Examples include Tom Westman (“Palau”), Rob Mariano (“Redemption Island”), Kim Spradlin (“One World”) and Mike Holloway (“Worlds Apart”).
Other challenge beasts are able to win a bunch of challenges but just come up short in the end. Colby Donaldson is one of the original cases of this, and we have seen players like Ozzy Lusth, Terry Deitz, Spencer Bledsoe and Brad Culpepper do the same, without claiming the title of Sole Survivor. Then there are players like Joe Anglim, who are just so good at challenges that they must be voted out the minute they lose an Immunity Challenge.

Bruce Springsteen reflected Wednesday on the protest movement erupting across the nation in the wake of Minneapolis man George Floyd’s death. He said, “We remain haunted, generation after generation, by our original sin of slavery.”
Springsteen made his comments on SiriusXM as part of his ongoing Bruce Springsteen — From His Home to Yours series on E Street Radio.
The songs he picked in the two-hour broadcast reflected his views on political protest and racial injustice.
He began with his own 41 Shots (American Skin), which he wrote about the death of Guinean immigrant Amadou Diallo in a confrontation with the New York Police Department.
“Eight minutes,” Springsteen said. “That song is almost eight minutes long. That’s how long it took George Floyd to die with a Minneapolis officer’s knee buried into his neck. That’s a long time. That’s how long he begged for help and said he couldn’t breathe.

After a season of controversy, CBS and Survivor have vowed to make some big changes to upcoming seasons in the wake of removing its first player ever from the game over inappropriate conduct.
The news comes on the heels of ejected contestant Dan Spilo publicly apologizing to Kellee Kim, who took Dan to task on the season premiere for unwanted physical contact.
If you watch Survivor online, you know Kim addressed her issues with him directly, but the controversy continued, with Dan being ousted from the show following an off-camera incident with a member of the show's crew.
Viewers and members of the cast were not impressed at how long it took for CBS or the producers to actually do something about it.
"We recognize there are things we could have done differently, and we are determined to do better going forward," CBS and Survivor said in a joint statement via Deadline.

2019 Emmy nominations: HBO reclaims bragging rights as top network in contention at 71st Emmy Awards
Boosted by the awards juggernaut that is “Game of Thrones,” HBO was able to regain its place at the top of the list of overall Emmy nominations. Numbering among its leading 137 bids are a record 32 for the final season of the fantasy series. Last year, Netflix had broken HBO’s 17-year reign at the top of the charts when it earned 112 nomination to the paycaster’s 108; this year, the streaming service had to settle for second place with 117 nominations.
Four years ago, programming on Netflix merited a mere 34 Emmy Awards nominations. In 2016, it was up to 56 bids and then numbered 91 nominations in 2017. Among the big four traditional broadcast networks, NBC leads again buoyed by the success of “This Is Us.” ABC, CBS and Fox are well behind the peacock network.

While the first trailer for Avengers: Endgame already made it perfectly clear that the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War sequel will be taking us back to the team’s HQ, a recent Lego leak goes one further to suggest that the Avengers compound, as well as Tony Stark’s armor room, might serve as the backdrop for a little action.
The first of the two leaked descriptions describes a set titled “Avengers Compound Battle,” which is said to include minifigures for Hulk, Ant-Man, Thanos, and one of the Mad Titan’s Outrider minions. The second is the latest of multiple leaks to allege a set titled “Iron Man Armor Room,” which reportedly comes with models for the Mark 1, 5, 41 and 50 armors, along with the “Igor” suit, a Tony Stark head (presumably to switch onto the armor minifigs), and another Outrider.

Although he was never a Hollywood favorite during his tenure, President George H.W. Bush did have many memorable moments captured on video, ranging from news sound bytes to political gaffes to parodies of his tenure.
The latter were particularly evident via Saturday Night Live, which did 22 sketches on the president.
Most of those involved comedian Dana Carvey, who did an impressive imitation of Bush 41’s speech and mannerisms. President Bush was a good sport about it, actually appearing with Carvey and later inviting him to the White House. The two became surprisingly fast friends, as Carvey attests in the video above.
But President H.W. Bush also will be remembered for several other moments that captivated world attention, some of them statements that came back to haunt him, some of them eminently human foibles, others harsh Hollywood takes on his political maneuvers.
Here are a few of his most memorable moments.
