This short film is nice but is a bit mis-advertised.

This is a nice little short film about a small group of Tibetan Buddhists who are starting a 3 year, 3 month, and 3 day retreat. The film introduces Ringu Tulku with a little bit about his family and his new retreat center, which was built and painted by two of his brothers. The film then introduces some of the group entering the retreat. It shows the first day of the retreat and then the last day of the retreat. It has a few short interviews with some of the people who finished the retreat.

I think I understand why they couldn't film during the retreat but this film couldn't be any shorter. It purports to be about "the lazy lama", but his participation in this film totals around 20 seconds. Ditto for the interviews of the retreatants. Thankfully the film was free on Tubi. Otherwise, I learned very little about any of the people in this film.
