The Actors Struggle Mightily Against a Ghastly Script-No One Talks Like That!

Completely unbelievable premise. Characters are drawn like cartoons. The plot is terribly formulaic -- you will say "Oh come on, I could write this," more than once while you roll your eyes at the plot twists and turns.

Again, the actors cannot be faulted. They plow through those lines as best anyone can; they don't over-act even as the director blocks them in silly poses and they spit out "romance novel" lines.

I'll be honest, I kind of think that was a big chunk of time I'll never get back. If I knew then what I know now, I would have chosen something else to watch.

    A Romantic Roller-coaster, Hold On!

Natalie(Garcelle Beauvais)is a grown woman who wants to find lasting and true love. Although she has a satisfying job teaching young children, Natalie dreams of a happy home-life with a faithful, adoring husband. Unfortunately, her present husband, Leon, has other ideas. Natalie's home life is falling apart until handsome(Brian White) shows up and fathers Natalie's dreams of a happy, wholesome romantic life. Will Brain White sweep Natalie into a rose petal world of ideal love? Will Brian's aging, wealthy, hateful wife (Lynn Whitefield) give him a divorce? Within the confines of its romantic genre, "And Then There Was You" offers a surprising array of plot twists and turns. I enjoyed this movie immensely and you will too.

    The Ending Though...

I absolutely hated the ending. It got real Hallmark and Lifetime on me. Before that it was okay...average at best.

One of the worst movies I've ever seen

Shows a very stereotypical idea of what black American life is supposed to consist of. Poorly written.

    Waste of time

I wouldn't watch it again. I try to support black films but this story was everywhere. Scenes were dragged and it took too long to get to the "root" of things
