Enjoyed the two main characters acting.

They worked well together, two likeable characters and a great ending. Check out who Jan Van Sickle is. Interesting intelligible guy, just like in this movie!

    Science and romance= smart entertainment

Brian has a problem. Well, actually, he has a couple of problems. For one thing, he used to be a professor of quantum physics and now he teaches at a community college. Another problem is that he owes a bad guy a lot of money and two goons have showed up demanding payment in full or else. Brian could probably pay his debt back if he could get a venture capitalist to fund his invention, a device he calls "amzing-ish." The problem is that the invention--a transporter machine (yes, like the ones in STAR TREK) is broken and he doesn't know how to fix it. Truth to tell, he doesn't really know what's wrong with it. But Brian isn't in this dilemma alone. To his great surprise, the lovely Shelly has entered his life at the same time as all this trouble, and Shelly is going to make all the difference. This is a smart and sweet movie that offers great characters and solid performances.

    Surprisingly Good!

Started the movie for background noise--didn't work at all! I found myself interested in the movie and watching it more than working. The leads are extremely good and have great chemistry. The story is well-paced, interesting, and kept my attention. I wish the leads had more credits. I would like to see them in some other movies. Overall quite enjoyable. Not at all what I expected for a quickie, low-budget film. Ninety minutes enjoyable spent.

    Something Works

There's a lot wrong with this movie. Some of the acting is off, large sections of the plot are logically unsupportable and the decision to use African American actors exclusively for the villains is not only cartoonish but unconscionable. That said, somehow, the movie manages to sustain a certain charm throughout. The lead character isn't necessarily believable, but he's watchable and enjoyable. Likewise with the relationship between the two leads. Not believable, but watchable and enjoyable. I also thought they did a good job on production design. You can tell it's a low- budget movie but nothing looks bad - sparse, maybe - but not bad. It doesn't look cheap. Likewise with the lighting and cinematography. It's not particularly artful, but there's nothing distractingly bad about it.

    Pleasant surprise......

You can tell this is a low-budget film immediately; they spent only $30,000 making it. But even tho I almost turned it off in the beginning....I kept watching, and watching. Ends up being a sweet little movie! It's great when just a small handful of people and for less money than my Honda cost can create something worth watching in this day and age.

    • Trivia
The film was completed on a budget of roughly $30,000, with the majority of that money going to building the machine and music.
    • Goofs
Michelle identifies the Spanish-style building in her painting as being on "Main Street, in Seal Beach". Actually, although it is indeed Seal Beach, California, the building (which is the Seal Beach City Hall) is located on 8th Street (one street to the west of Main Street). Since she's supposed to have lived in the town for years, it's unlikely she'd make that mistake.
