A woman overseeing a renovation wearing various nearly see-through outfits. Ms Anderson's claim to fame is her body and she's made a career of playing the ditzy blonde wearing only half her clothes. Really hard to take her interest in the project seriously while she prances about her property barefoot, flipping her hair. It's painful to watch the contractors, hubby and designer indulge her ditziness like she's a precocious child. Very cringey. Too bad, because it would have been an interesting story to follow a celeb coming back home to restore a beloved property from her childhood. Oh wait, that's what they THINK they're doing. Sadly missing the mark.
The pilot was fun to watch, and it didn't feel like the typical time crunch, pointless conflict, and manufactured dim-wittery of other reality shows. Then the second episode the reality TV formula started. The pilot was sweet and heart felt and had natural humor.
I like watching what they are doing, but dang it. I am not as interested now that they are following standard reality formula.
There are cool design elements and Pamela is a bit of a relatable artsy friend, just one that was centerfold and actress, but quirky none the less. I liked watching the development of the garden over the first few episodes. The projects are cool... just drop the reality BS.

A peek inside of Pam's world is enjoyable and fun. You get a chance to see the real Pam. I came here looking for information to see if there will be a season 3 of the show as currently, I am on season 2 episode 7. Such a sweetheart I find myself cheering for all her success. Even her Mom and Dad lend a cheerful spin on the show. I would like to add that I believe the family should received "Grandfathers" rights as to the Boat House situation. All of that seems illegal. If the original purchase was on certain ley lines that should be in standing to current dates. If that were the case you could change it back and forth a dozen times. That legally makes no sense.

I really enjoyed this show, and I found it inspiring on many levels.
Seeing Pamela sticking to her creative vision and asserting her needs in a firm but fair way was refreshing, and something I aspire towards in life. She wants a designer and building crew who will take her ideas and vision and make it practical, which is what most people undergoing renovations want, but rarely get. She's got fantastic taste and I really loved seeing her vision come to fruition.
It was nice to see Pamela's love of gardening and nature. Her respect for the property and the local ecosystem was beautiful to see, and gave me a lot of gardening ideas for my own yard. The show in general made me see my home as more than a mere property.
On a technical level, the filmography was gorgeous and gave the show a very relaxing and ethereal feel. Most home renovation shows I watch are either tense and drama-filled or boring and slow paced. This show was neither. It was well paced and beautifully shot, and the emphasis on the seasons and the local environment and wildlife differentiated it from other home reno shows.

I loved this show! Not only did you learn about Pamela's life and REAL personality but you got to watch her visions come together with a great crew. The fact that she preserved her family's history renovating these cabins makes it so special.
Oh- I never realized how much she speaks like Katherine O'Hara lol. Another Fast talking Canadian!
I hope they have a second season! I. The meantime I enjoyed reading her book.
She is one super intelligent woman and someone you would definitely invite to a dinner party. It is lovely to see her parents and her sons being part of this show.
I would recommend this 100%!
