I Was a Teenage Werebear

Any film with songs called "Purge the Urge" and "Love Bit Me on the Ass" has got to be worth a watch! Sean Paul Lockhart is an handsome young man, as yet unsettled with his sexuality, until he falls for the local bad boy "Talon" (Anton Troy - surely a made up name if ever I heard one) who wrestles with him, bites his butt and turns our scantily clad hero into a "werebear". This film is a parody of just about everything from "Grease" (1978) "Rocky Horror" (1975) with bits of Elvis and Roger Corman thrown in too - and this all happens in just half an hour! Lin Shaye has some fun as the mystic "Nurse Maleva" who tries to avert the corruption of SPL - but will she succeed? Who cares, it's dreadful - but he does bear a worrying resemblance to Michael J. Fox at the end and I rather liked it!

The actor who was supposed to play Coach Tuffman backed out at the last minute, so writer/director 'Tim Sullivan (XI)' took over the role.

Goofs
Mr. Paisley is a featured dancer during "Room for All (Everybody's Gay)" despite the fact he was brutally beheaded in the previous scene.

Alternate versions
Although this short is featured in the film Chillerama (2011), the stand-alone festival version is longer and ends on a completely different note, with Sean Paul Lockhart performing a gay anthem entitled "Room for All." The song was included in the original Comic-Con screening of 'Chillerama,' but it was decided that the tone of the ending was wrong for the compilation film. Subsequently, writer/director Tim Sullivan began independently selling DVD-Rs of the "Hairy & Uncut Ultimate Edition," which included the longer version of the film, an exclusive 5.1 audio mix and a variety of other extras which were excluded from the "Chillerama" disc.
