Shaun Hutson was the co-writer of James Whale's 2007 autobiography, "Almost A Celebrity: A Lifetime Of Night-Time".

Credited as "James Whale with Shaun Hutson", James notes in the acknowledgements: "many thanks to Shaun Hutson and his wife Belinda for making the book happen".

Crazy credits
The end credits are run at the start of the show, with James and guest Shaun Hutson pretending that the show is ending, to, in James's own words, "stuff it on the people who video the show". After a fade to black, James comes back on to explain the "wheeze", before rolling the opening credits.
