As this Spanish film opens a woman confronts her husband; it is clear that he has committed heinous crimes. He retorts that if she reports him she will be implicated too. She shoots him not realising her child witnessed what happened till it is too late. Some years later a serial killer is targeting women; before murdering them he sends them compromising pictures. It would appear that his next victim is going to be Sonia, an up and coming actress. While things get scary for her the police are trying to catch the killer before they can kill again.
I thought this film was fairly solid; the opening got me gripped and it kept me on the edge of my seat for most of its hundred minute runtime. There are some disturbing moments; it certainly doesn't shy away from showing gory moments with people being killed or seriously injured with knives, an axe and even a chainsaw! The film has a very similar feel to Italian giallo films with its gore, nudity, fairly natural look and its various twists. The twists are fun if perhaps more than a little unlikely; I won't describe them to avoid giving too much away. I've read that it had a budget of only 3,000 euros; it may look low budget it certainly doesn't look that cheap! The cast seems solid, especially Angela Boj, who plays Sonja. Overall I'd say that while this isn't a must see it is worth watching if you enjoy the genre.
