A24 and Cmc Pictures have announced they are teaming on an English-language version of Chinese blockbuster animation Ne Zha 2, featuring Michelle Yeoh in voice cast.

The newly dubbed version will release in theaters across the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand from August 22, and be presented in IMAX, 3D, and other premium large formats.

Written and directed by filmmaker Yang Yu, Ne Zha 2 made box office history earlier this year as it became the first non-Hollywood movie to cross $2B worldwide in its original language version.

After a three year wait, Netflix’s animated anthology series “Love, Death + Robots” will return for a fourth volume on May 15.

The teaser below previews the 10 new shorts, including dinosaur gladiators, messianic felines, string-puppet rock stars, and more mechanical mayhem.

The series is created by Deadpool and Terminator: Dark Fate director Tim Miller, who executive produces alongside David Fincher.

He made his directorial debut with the “Trolls Holiday” television special in 2017 and his feature directorial debut with 2020’s “The Croods: A New Age,” which was a box office hit even in the midst of the pandemic and earned him his first Golden Globe nomination for Best Animated Feature.

Lucy Liu, born on December 2, 1968, is an American actress known for her versatile career. The Trouble with Bliss actress stands at 5 feet 1 ½ inches (156.2 cm), although she has humorously claimed to be 5 feet 3 inches tall.

Despite her petite stature, Liu has achieved significant success in her acting career, earning accolades such as a Critics’ Choice Television Award, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and a Seoul International Drama Award. She was also nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award.

Universal and Dreamworks’ animated feature Dog Man sees a spectacular hike on its first Tuesday. It has collected amazing numbers in just five days of its release, maintaining its position at #1 in the domestic box office chart. Scroll below for the deets.

With its opening weekend collection, it landed in the projected range. The film was predicted to collect between $35 million and $37 million in the US. It has received positive reviews and is rapidly heading towards its first significant milestone in the US and worldwide. It is already the second highest-grossing film of 2025, only behind Den of Thieves 2: Pantera.

According to Luiz Fernando’s report, the audience is enjoying the animated feature Dog Man. The report stated that Dog Man collected a solid $1.8 million on Tuesday, Discount Day, which experienced a hike of +108% from Monday, which is insane.

Punxsutawney Phil may have overshadowed the headlines, but it was a pair of newcomers making all the noise at the box office over the weekend. However, it turned out to be No. 1 Dog Man easily outperforming Companion to win the top spot en route to opening the month of February. Director Peter Hastings’ animated superhero comedy made an estimated $36 million domestically, while the new horror rom-com settled for the silver medal with only $9.5 million (per The Numbers).
