All you need is Hermit!

As a festival programmer you are searching for awesome titles for your audience and that is what I've found on Hermit: Monster Killer.

A hilarious monster flick made on Sweden. With incredible special effects and a great performance by Borje Lundberg.

The incredible team behind the film show us how to make a very good film with a small budget. Here you can see the love and respect for the bizarre cinema, a kind of cinema that we need more everyday.

Congratulations to Jonas, Ola and everyone involved for make this amazing stuff!

At one point Bengt Alsterlind was cast as The Hermit in the film. Bengt is very famous in Sweden for his television program called Hajk. Director Ola Paulakoski and Bengt had a great creative relationship in preproduction. But ultimately decided that the physicality of the main character did not match up for a character that has been able to take care of himself for 40 years in the forest and Bengt felt the similarities to Hajk were to many. It could have turned into Hajk vs The Monster. The details in the script which brought similarities to Hajk were in the script long before Bengt was cast, but they were obvious. Hermit having a homemade monster hunter harpoon etc.
