De Um Dia Para o Outro

Like many other films made by Jean Manzon productions with similar themes, this one basically shows the transition of underdeveloped spaces of the late 1940's to the magnificent change of the early 1950's which later defined the decade with the Kubitschek administration and his politics of "50 years in 5" with the government initiative of making the national automobilistic industry a front runner against foreign companies by selling our product with a great price; high infrastrture budget and new developments which allowed a closer connection between the countryside and cities with railroads, train lines and the new modern vehicles.

Clearly, a high self-proclaimed patriotism involved and I'd like to think this project was made after April 1964 and not before, so if you know your history you can understand the pride and joy displayed in the film - it's all fruit from previous administrations so the then-government couldn't claim as being something they did, they just kept in some way.

Just watched out of curiosity since those projects are always greatly made, true testaments of its period and it's all fascinating to see how things and people were in decades before mine - and since there's plenty of images from places I know and live, the experience works as a fun time travel through history. 7/10.
