Top notch cinema from Vidar Vikingsson, director of Tilbury, that follows a ghost story of a red headed woman. Some great music, tone and pacing. If you liked Tilbury, you will love this, as I enjoyed it a bit more. The ending is a bow on the top of an already great film. Wish this guy made more movies!! Highly recommend if you can find a copy.

New nightwatchman at a TV studio hears stories of the studios resident ghost - a woman with red hair - and with makeup artist plays trick on outgoings nightwatchman with tragic results. 1985 made for TV Icelandic horror tale from writer/director Vidar Vikingsson,based on a story by noted playwright Oddur Bjornsson. Slow, rather dull and not particularly well told, where not much happens, apart from certain generic situations and dialogue. It may have rarity value, the odd Reykjavik location, and the Specials and David Bowie on soundtrack,but there's otherwise little to recommend it, despite perking up in the last 20 minutes or so. Of course it can be read as a 'psychological ghost Story' about the power of appearances and imagination.
