    Two is more than one

No pun intended - and not meant to describe the scars. What scars by the way? Not visible ones you say? Well you may be onto something there. Because when two individuals (our main characters) decide to go ... well on the hunt together ... I reckon that is what you can call it ... well all heck breaks loose (no pun intended - just think of the other h word).

While I may not be sure, what can be considered offensive or not - the movie may have some scenes that are not for sensitive eyes. But there are far worse (better?) movies out there when it comes to violence and all that stuff ... just putting that out there - again no pun intended.

    Sadly dull ...

Not that the two main female characters are billed as representative of anything, but I think the message this film carries is that all men are imbeciles. Selfish, full of their own importance, dishonest and boring. Two victimised women join forces to rid the world of such sharply dressed gits. It's filmed very much like a documentary, the acts of violence conveyed in an unspectacular way (although there's a nice one towards the end).

As a result, things are deathly dull viewing a lot of the time. Language and lifestyle choices may seem quite shocking to begin with, but with nowhere to escalate to, lose their impact and appeal the more we see them. There is a constant backdrop of topical news reports running throughout. There's probably a message there about the corruption of the world, but it's not clear.

A nice twist at the end doesn't really make the previous 108 minutes less tedious. My score is 4 out of 10.

    Married Men Beware

Two women decide they have had enough of men so they start killing them. A kind of Thelma And Louise meets Natural Born Killers meets I Spit On Your Grave.

The one woman who goes by the name Scar (she doesn't divulge her real name) has most of the anger issues as we see her family upbringing wasn't the best. This is done to justify her need to plunge knives into peoples bellies. Her friend has a habit of dating married men and then extorting them for cash. Together they go clubbing at night taking with them a butcher knife that gets used when they lure men in the alley.

The film seems slow at times as you get several scenes of people watching TV for a minute or two which adds up. They don't really get into their backgrounds or what makes them tick. They show Scar's dad rolling a joint but don't touch on anything. Lots of stabbings. shootings and a beheading with a butcher knife. Overall not a bad flick.
