Actors Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good are engaged. The couple revealed the news at Sunday night’s Ebony Power 100 Gala event in Los Angeles, with Good showing off her diamond engagement ring on the red carpet.
In an interview with E! News at the event, the couple said the Ebony Power 100 Gala had a special significance for them as it was where they first in 2022. Majors, 35, and Good, 43, have been dating since May 2023, two months after the Lovecraft Country actor was arrested over an alleged assault against ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari.
Good publicly stood by Majors as he was later charged and stood trial for assaulting Jabbari in November 2023. The Shazam! actress was a near constant presence in court during the three-week trial. The man who says Kevin Hart falsely implicated him in a sex tape extortion plot and then failed to “publicly exonerate” him as promised in a settlement agreement can no longer pursue his $12 million breach of contract lawsuit against Hart in open court, at least for now, a judge has ruled.
In a decision signed Thursday, Los Angeles County Judge Daniel S. Murphy ruled that plaintiff Jonathan “Jt” Jackson forfeited his right to sue Hart in a public forum when he added a clause to their settlement that agreed to private arbitration.

Think Like a Man & its sequel are based on a 2009 self-help book by Steve Harvey, adding depth to the rom-com. The stellar ensemble cast and unique premise make Think Like a Man a captivating rom-com with meta elements. Steve Harvey not only wrote the book that inspired the movie, but he also appears in a fun cameo as himself.
The 2012 romantic comedy Think Like a Man is making the rounds on Netflix, leaving many audiences wondering whether it's based on a book. Zorro and Expats are the big shows coming to Prime Video in January. The former is what Amazon are calling a “bold reinterpretation” of the classic hero El Zorro for 2024. Starring Miguel Bernardeau as Diego de la Vega and Renata Notni as Lolita Marquez, it’s definitely an intriguing-sounding action-adventure series, with a ten-episode first season based on the iconic character originally created by Johnston McCulley all the way back in 1919.
Meanwhile, upcoming drama series Expats is based on the bestselling 2016 novel The Expatriates by Janice Y. K. Lee, and follows “the vibrant lives of a close-knit expatriate community” in Hong Kong. Nicole Kidman has been known for picking the right kind of shows to lead in the past, so let’s hope this is another banger for the actress, who is also on board as an executive producer here.

There’ll be some happy holidays on Prime Video in December, as the streamer’s seasonal offerings hope to keep the fires warm in your home this month!
As such, there are quite a few new original holiday movies coming to the service. At the beginning of the month, Eddie Murphy stars in Candy Cane Lane. In this film, the Beverly Hills Cop and Coming to America star plays a determined man who is willing to go above and beyond to win the annual Christmas home decoration contest in his neighborhood – even if it means making a very magical deal.
The DC universe will also be getting festive in December thanks to Merry Little Batman, an animated feature that sees Batman’s son, Damian Wayne, stumble upon a villainous plot on Christmas eve, one that may give him a chance to save the day when his dad isn’t around.

Story directed The Blackening from a screenplay by Tracy Oliver and Dewayne Perkins. Inspired by a Perkins-scripted 3Peat comedy sketch that aired on Comedy Central in 2018, the film is about a group of Black friends who go away for the weekend only to find themselves trapped in a cabin with a killer who forces them to play a game with life-or-death consequences. The idea asks a reasonable question: since it seems that Black characters are usually the earliest victims in horror films,...

It’s been eight years since the first episode of “Are You The One?” (Ayto) premiered. Although the dating show didn’t hit mainstream fame immediately, it’s built a steady following and widely dispersed fan base over the years — even getting its own spin-off, “Are You The One: Second Chances.”
The dating series remains a fan-favorite among other series like “Ex on the Beach.” Some have even said this could be regarded as one of the best dating-style TV shows witnessed in the last decade. Many fans have likened it to “The Real World,” considered the Og of reality TV. Others may disagree, but no doubt, Ayto is one of the most entertaining dating shows you’ll watch.
If you’re a fan or someone interested in diving into this dating series, you probably have some questions. What’s Ayto been up to these days? Was the show paused due to the pandemic?...

Will Packer Productions and Mo Abudu’s EbonyLife Studios are teaming to develop an untitled project based on Evan Ratliff’s Bloomberg article, “The Fall of the Billionaire Gucci Master.”
The companies won the rights in a highly competitive situation and have set up the project at Universal Pictures.
Ratliff’s article digs into the story of Nigerian Instagram influencer Ramon Abbas. The figure otherwise known as Hushpuppi, or the Billionaire Gucci Master, is alleged to have perfected a simple internet scam that allowed him to launder millions of dollars.
Packer and Abu’s project is described as a globetrotting action thriller — a hybrid of Catch Me If You Can and The Usual Suspects.
Writer discussions are said to be progressing quickly.
Will Packer and James Lopez will produce through their Will Packer Productions, with Abudu producing for EbonyLife.

In tackling one of the most notorious feuds in pop culture history, director Tim Story used one guiding principle: “It’s not war; it’s sibling rivalry.”
Those rivals would be Tom and Jerry, the beloved Hanna-Barbera cartoon characters who first came to exist out of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in 1946. The duo are now relaunching in a live-action/animation hybrid movie that debuts Feb. 26 on Warner Bros. and HBO Max.
The studio approached Story with the property nearly three years ago, drawing on his deep comedy background with successful franchises including Ice Cube and Kevin Hart’s “Ride Along” series — two mid-budget movies that together grossed close to $300 million worldwide — and the ensemble films “Think Like a Man” and “Think Like a Man Too.”
Story’s “Tom & Jerry” reimagining depicts the frenemies in their two-dimensional splendor, thrust into a real-life New York where they’re just another mouse and cat trying...

If and when the time comes for Barack Obama to have a biopic made about him, the former president of the United States would be happy to be played by Drake. Though Drake might be best known as a rapper based on his immense success in music, fans will know that he got his start as an actor, appearing in a prominent role in Degrassi: The Next Generation. He has also sporadically appeared in other roles in movies, including cameos in Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues and Think Like a Man Too.
In a recent interview for 360 With Speedy Morman, Obama spoke about a potential biopic about his life. When asked specifically if he'd be okay with Drake playing him in the movie, the 44th president praised the actor and musician, seemingly giving the possible casting the greenlight.
"I will say this, Drake seems to be able to do anything he wants.
