Many of JoyBear's early releases insisted on pretending to be sort-of- documentaries, when in fact they were porn made up out of whole cloth. This admittedly fake "expose" of a tabloids-made-famous local figure Kelly Rafelle was interesting enough to impress me.
The JoyBear team is noted for the care they put in their mainly- pantomime sex productions, and this is no exception. The cast is top- notch, the sex scenes well performed and the production value impressive. So the basic phoniness of the premise we can let slide.
Fluffy Adlard is the colorfully named actress who portrays Kelly Rafelle, a rather odd personage who created a service in England for wives to check up on their wayward husbands. Sort of a pre-internet type of detective bureau in which entrapment/sting operations are second nature.
Format is a supposedly "award-winning" investigative journalist Oliver McDowell interviewing Kelly (Fluffy) and asking very impertinent questions in combative mode. He's strictly a phony, already seen in other JoyBear mockumentaries, and other than looking like the company's owner Justin R. dos Santos I don't know why this ploy fiction is maintained in all the DVD promo materials.
At any rate, she tells him about cases of infidelity she's worked on, mostly ones that blew up in the tabloids to create scandals, as well as a competitor's case to sort of make her operation look good by comparison. Each one is illustrated by talented porn performers humping, and all the story is handed to us second hand with little dialog in these flashback/reconstructions of events.
Frequent Euro Porn team Nick Lang and blonde Kathia Nobili are fine in their vignette, and quality Brit Porn talent of five or so years back all do a quality job in the XXX department, especially a lesbian scene featuring Michelle Moist and Donna Bell, and a bondage/fetish threesome in which Lexi Ward and Paige Ashley vie for possession of sub Kai Taylor's huge cock. This scene in the final print has a ridiculous continuity error (caused by the stop & start method of unrealistic, playing to the camera porn-direction) in which Paige's stockings in a continuous scene change from plain high-tops to striking fishnet stockings via unintended magic!
Each scene has its own individual title (e.g., "Corporate Affairs", "Closet Concern" and "Your Money or Your wife"), suitable for today's individual viewing mode that has rapidly made the complete DVD a thing of the past. But this DVD is enjoyable and a good introduction to the JoyBear approach to Adult Cinema.
