Positives:
1. Stellar Performance: Surya's acting is truly exceptional. His nuanced expressions, especially his piercing gaze into the camera, are captivating.
2. Powerful Music: While not every DSP score hits the mark, the ones that do are absolute bangers.
3. Visual Brilliance: The cinematography, particularly in the flashback scenes and Surya's close-ups, is stunningly clear and concise.
4. Impressive Production Design: The film boasts breathtaking locations and impressive CGI, with minor flaws that are easily overlooked.
5. Memorable Moments: There are 4-5 scenes that showcase Surya's acting prowess and leave a lasting impact.
Negatives: 1. Unoriginal Storyline: The plot, revolving around reincarnation, feels somewhat familiar and has been explored in numerous films.
2. Abrupt Editing: Some scenes abruptly cut to the next, interrupting the flow and leaving the audience wanting more.
3. Climax Disruption: The parallel cuts between Francis and Kanguva during the climax diminish the impact of the intense Kanguva war sequences.
4. Lack of Clarity: Certain scenes lack sufficient context, making it difficult to fully understand the narrative.
5. Unconvincing Villain: Bobby Deol's portrayal as the villain is over-the-top and comical, rather than menacing.
Overall, the decision to split the film into two parts is questionable. While it's not necessarily bad, it disrupts the narrative flow, especially at a crucial point when the story is building to a climax.

Kanguva is a historically overacted and confusing story, and star minus with scary and over makeup and larger then life action seens make you believe that you are wasting your time, all cast and crew are fail to believe us in their story. Above all they are started with roman emperors attack on their places with 25k solider but they are fighting with each other!!! What about the 25k solider who are coming to India to rule, who made them go back?? Why they are disappear? Editing is also very poor you just can't understand what is going on, no evidence of motive or reson why they boy is looking to meet Surya!!!
The only movie that was a hit for Siva is Siruthai and this guy has been running the world with just one movie and all the other movies are disaster and I don't know why actors are still accepting movies from him after making such a nonsensical movies..
I hope after seeing this movie and other flop movies of him the producer should stop giving money to this guy,
He's wasting money and shaming Tamilnadu, after this movie, many other state people started mocking tamil industry that tamilians cannot make great movies and I hope other directors seeing this should learn from him how to not take movies..

The image of the ideal actor Suriya is the award winner actor and the movie Kangua does not have any proper script.looks like a typical thriller and adventurous serial. The worst movie i saw till date. Exitement went wrong.waste of money ,time ,and hope.suggesting everyone to not to see this movie.and save your valuable time.always great actor Suriya but don't work with shiva sir.concept of the movie is not clear.also not having proper sequence.everytime past and present and again past again present it seems like a serials.hope so the team of the movie can understand the feelings of the common fan of Suriya and take it as a suggestion in a good way.good luck next time for the part 2 if coming....
It was a mind blowing movie experience watching Kanguva FDFS after first few mins of boring scenes. Suriya once again has proved his worth in Indian Cinema by one of the finest acting performances. Director Siva has come back strongly after the disaster of Annathe. He has proved that there is another director in the industry who can give this kind of mammoth film which can rock the film world. Excellent Art work and Cinematography adds more value to this. Music is one of the strongest pillar for the film, which carries it well...As usual, Disha Patani has no role in this film like Kalki...Over all its worth watching.
