Brilliant acting by two fresh faces with great songs!!!

Aashiqui 2 starts of beautifully with a captivating song that you will find yourself humming as you walk out of the theater. Many things hold the movie strong. This was the first time I saw the lead pair Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor and i was mighty impressed. Aditya with his semi-dashing,semi-conservative looks does a great job portraying a conflicted singer who is past his prime and turned an addicted alcoholic. Shraddha who plays a budding singer whom Aditya promotes exhibits great talent playing a charming and loving girl. The lead pair move the strings in your heart with their powerful performances. The audio of the movie is superlative, the background score is good and two- three songs stand apart. The songs and great acting are the highlights of the movie.

On the flip side the second half kinda drags with belabored scenes along with a few scenes that lack common sense. The movie should probably have been half an hour shorter. The ending is unconventional as well.

Still the movie has enough stirring moments and is decent enough to watch in the theater!

      I enjoyed this movie

Brings romance back on the Hindi screen â?? intense, pure, selfless and heart wrenching. A stirring account with brilliant moments, bravura performances, strong emotional quotient and addictive music, this one's an absolute must watch for the romantics.

      A truly amazing love story..!!

Aashiqui 2,a truly amazing love story. It was a pleasure watching such a beautifully directed movie with a great and different story. Fantastic work by the not so experienced new faces Shraddha kapoor and Aditya Roy kapoor which made a very beautiful couple on stage. It wasn't the usual same old love story script but very well written and executed script. The emotions and truly incredible songs put up at appropriate moments were the charm! Shraddha kapoor's roles in her previous films like "luv ka the end" , "teen Patti" were not as effective and couldn't bring her into the limelight. But this movie is surely going to be a great comeback for her in the Bollywood film industry.Same goes with Aditya Roy kapoor.A very effective n deeply heart touching love story which is a must watch if you like love story movies..!!

      Good movie

Average story line , but nicely toned. with sad ending:'( . For detailed story line one can search through internet. The story is all about sacrificing at extreme extent for LOVE(be it your passion or figure). It lefts an impression on mind very secretly.

Aditya Roy Kapoor is admirably remarkable in this movie. His crazy-intense act sometimes touches minds. But some people find this too funny. Shraddha aka Arohi is well supportive to ARK aka RJ.

Songs are really good. but those have Jeet Ganguly stamp. Vula Dena ..Sun Raha ha.

& obviously Tum Hi Ho all these three songs are heart-winning songs..well placed in movie sequence as well.. Totally 7 out of 10 to Aashiqui 2 2013 Film. Bhai ek baar toh dekh hi sakte ho..itna bhi bura nahin hai.At least watch one time.

      Romantic!

If you are into romantic movies with sad endings, then this is for you. Mohit Suri does a good job with a script written by Shagufta Rafiqui, but the plot could have been way better. The character of the protagonist was not well established in the beginning of the film. It's a very short film, and they had all the time to give some base to Aditya's character. Nevertheless, the first half of the film is good, with the latter half kinda becoming a bore after a point. On acting front, Aditya Roy Kapoor does a decent job, but he still needs to improve on his acting skills. Shraddha Kapoor looked gorgeous and performed well. The rest of the cast was alright. The definite plus point of the movie is its music. The soulful numbers are also well picturized. Overall, it's a decent film, but definitely had the potential to be much better.

      Verdict: 7.5/10
