If this is the best romantic leads that Brazil can cast ... yikes! Not only were neither lead actors at all attractive, the acting was so atrociously over the top, it was unwatchable. The ML was certainly better, though still dull, but the FL was the worst actress I've ever seen, and so unattractive it was hard to believe anyone would chase her. She was manic, pulled distracting faces, and just generally charmless (tho manic charming pixie girl was likely what they were trying to achieve). She must be a nepobaby or casting was drunk that day. That's nothing to say for the fat jokes for the one sister, like seriously, when was this produced? Had to turn off.
Thati Lopes S2, it's a shame that these comedies, not so romantic, are so silly and almost boring, I'm boring and have no patience, the references are excellent, I love them, but it's not enough to hold the film from halfway through I I was dying to finish, lack of perspective on something surprising, after all, most are predictable and the jokes don't differ much from slapstick comedies, which I don't really like... Regular to very boring, despite Thati and the cute Twist plot. ..
Luiz (Caio Castro) is not a man who believes in love, which is why he strictly follows a rule that he should not go beyond "dating" for three months. However, he still lives with his mother, who begs him to get married and leave her house. One day, she faints and it is discovered that she only has six months to live. As a last request, she asks her son to get married so that she can feel fulfilled. Not wanting a real commitment, he gives in to his mother's requests and hires a surrogate wife. Lina (Thati Lopes) is an actress who lives off the work of being "rented" by other people, playing the desired role, a wife, a lover or a friend. The two then agree to a fake relationship for six months. But everything can change and the fake couple can actually give in to their feelings.

Certainly not the most creative romantic comedy, but it's quite heart warming and a good entertainment.
It's particularly interesting if you happen to know the actors from other works.
Do not expect to see something that's is not cliché, but love is all about it anyway.
A good point also is to see some movies out of the main circuit of production, coming from a different country gaining some recognition, too.
It balances the love story with the comedy in a nice way, too. There are some really good jokes that come out of nowhere that gets you unexpectedly.
I do recommend if you are in a Netflix date, or just relaxing on a Sunday night.

The movie is a very good Romcom, I don't understand how it has 5 stars here on imdb. I saw some people complaining that the English dubbing is bad and I can't say anything about it, since I watched it in Portuguese. But I recommend everyone to watch it.
Besides that it seemed very inspired by Rent a Girlfriend and what made me think about it the most is the fact that the rental wife also wants to be an actress.
The film talks about Luís, who hires an actress to pretend to be his fiancée to please his mother and not be taken out of the will.
This film was starred by great actors, such as Caio Castro (Why do you cry Caio Castro? LMAO) and by other very famous actors.

The story is simple, you pretend to be in love so you fall in love for real.
What I really have a problem with is the acting and the type of humor. The leads act like idiots, the male lead acts like a spoilt baby and the female lead like a child. She doesn't take her job seriously being late, forgetting key details that they agreed on 2 days earlier and acting the same with all her clients no matter what is the situation.
I really think that this could have been an okay movie If it took itself a bit more seriously and not like it was made for children with the over-the-top acting, illogical and unrelatable storylines.
For me (who actually loves romantic movies) it was unwatchable.
