    The Invisible Moron

This is horror comedy is unbelievably stupid. First of all, how did the raptor kept his body clean after all of those messy gratuitous slaughter? I guess the producer of this movie didn't expect people with high IQ would watch this ridiculous movie. They didn't think that someone would ask this kind of question. Blood didn't stick on it, while piss can make it seen way clearly? They must really think only Americans would watch this silly movie. LOL. Other than that obvious stupidity, the rest of the movie is pretty standard. Nothing stands out both in acting and in visual. It's a movie about a bloodthirsty dinosaur, so if you're gonna watch it, you should expect to see so much blood and gore. Make sure you can stomach them in large scale.

    Well this was a surprise

Just watched this earlier tonight and didn't quite know what I was gonna get. It felt a bit cheesy and lowbudgetty from the name and description..and, to be fair...it IS both of those things BUT what I didn't know was how really well acted and funny it was going to be.

The movie 'feels' like a much bigger production than I think it is and I think that's in part due to writing, acting and cinematography - all which were above par.

I really enjoyed it. A lot more than most movies I've seen this year. I gave it a well deserved 8.

    Check it out for yourself.

If only it was funnier and shorter.

A parodic love-letter to the films of Steven Spielberg, most notably Jurassic Park and Jaws (see if you can spot all of the references), The Invisible Raptor sees a small town menaced by a genetically-modified, invisible, prehistoric apex predator, which has escaped from a top secret scientific facility. Paleontologist/theme park employee Dr. Grant Walker (Mike Capes) realises the situation and, together with workmate Deniel 'Denny' Denielson (David Shackelford) and ex-flame Amber (Caitlin McHugh, he tries to track down the dinosaur.

The 'invisible' action figure used to promote The Invisible Raptor is a stroke of genius, far smarter than anything in the actual movie. As the title suggests, the film is intentionally dumb, but sadly the majority of the humour is incredibly weak, leaving it up to the cartoonish splatter to do the heavy lifting. The gore, when it happens (mostly in the second half of the film), is a lot of fun, a mixture of practical and CGI (an unnecessary evil when dealing with an invisible creature tearing people apart); the sight of people having their limbs removed by the titular dinosaur makes the film just about worthwhile, the effects being surprisingly effective for such a low budget production.

Also, this is the only film I know of that you can see an old woman in a chicken costume being rogered by an invisible dinosaur, so there's that!

5.5/10, rounded down to 5 for the runtime of almost two hours, which is waaay too long for this kind of nonsense.

Campy, crude, tons of jokes, 1 or 2 laughs

This movie is incredible campy and filled with crude language, idiotic dialog, asinine plot points, and the all time cheapest monster yet. On the plus side a couple of performances were somewhat worthwhile. Most all of the annoying unconvincing characters meet their end with the invisible raptor. The gore is surprisingly well done. The more you watch the more absurd it becomes. None of the characters feel the slightest bit authentic. The sound effects, audio and music was well done. Nobody can take any of this film seriously. And you will probably find it's an exercise in patience to watch all the way to the end.

This movie knows exactly what it's doing.

I have forced 2 people to watch this movie. They came in kicking and screaming, but in no time they were all in. As I said in the title, this movie knows exactly what it's doing. It's refreshing, it's hilarious, and is easily the best movie I've seen in 2024. Mostly practical effects, actual actors and extras. It might sound strange to some but the less blue room acting the better. It was fun to watch and written well.

Spielberg references are everywhere and the actors have great chemistry. It's hard not to spoil you, there are so so many soon to be classic scenes. I gave this film a 10, it's more like an 9 but I can already tell I'll be watching this movie many more times. That's worth the ten. Thank you for the amazing movie!!

    • Trivia
Vanessa Chester previously played the daughter of Jeff Goldblum's character, Ian Malcolm, in 1997's Jurassic Park: The Lost World. In Jurassic Park: The Lost World, she gets the attention of a raptor by saying: "Hey, you!", right before using her gymnastics skills to kick the raptor out of a window. In this film, she plays the DJ at the house party and her only line is: "Hey, you! Let's kick it!"
    • Goofs
When the three of them are "carrying" the invisible raptor to the car, they are not moving with each other, and keep changing their positions, which wouldn't happen if they were really carrying something.

Dr. Grant Walker: Your bad? You just let it loose again! You... muddy, redneck idiot!

Deniel 'Denny' Denielson: Whoa, now, Dr. G. That's no way to talk to a friend.

Dr. Grant Walker: Friends? We're not friends. We're not even work friends. This isn't hanging out, you moron. All you had to do was drive it to the jail. Now it is going to kill more people.

      [points at Dusty's body]

Dr. Grant Walker: That man is a stump!

Deniel 'Denny' Denielson: You're the one that wanted to let it take a nap because of your scientific discoveries.

      Dr. Grant Walker: Oh...

Deniel 'Denny' Denielson: I told you we should have killed it. Now, Dusty Peter's hot-ass wife is a widow!

Dr. Grant Walker: Oh, no. On, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. This blood is on *your* hands. And you did all this because someone saw your dick in the sixth grade? Unbelievable!
