At the request of director / producer / writer, Ted Green, Phil Gries interviewed and filmed Dr. Leonard Todd Gries, in his Brooklyn Dodger memorabilia home den located in Long Island on February 4, 2021. Len recounted anecdotes and boyhood memories related to Carl Erskine and Jackie Robinson, when visiting Ebbets Field and rooting for his team the Brooklyn Dodgers, scores of times from 1952-1957, including, at age nine, being at Ebetts Field to witness Carl Erskine pitch his second career no-hitter in 1956. None of his 41-minute interview made the Final Cut, but he and brother Phil did receive special thank you acknowledgement credit.

Carl Erskine mentions long-time Ebbets Field organist Gladys Goodding played "Back Home in Indiana" at Gil Hodges' funeral Mass in 1972. Gladys Goodding passed away in 1963.
