Here’s Which Marx Brother Might Have Had Sex With Amelia Earhart
Image
In the annals of American history, there are few figures as heroic and determined as Amelia Earhart. In the 1920s and 1930s, she defied highly restrictive gender norms to set a multitude of aviation records, including becoming the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean, the first woman to fly solo nonstop from coast-to-coast and the first person to fly solo across the Pacific Ocean.

There is, however, one conquest that you likely won’t find in any of the countless aviation museums that honor her memory: She very possibly had sex with one of the Marx Brothers.

For those who may need a refresher, the Marx Brothers were one of the most important acts in the history of comedy. They starred in more thn a dozen films spanning the 1930s and 1940s, and also saw significant achievements on stage, radio and television. The best known of which...

‘American Manhunt: Osama Bin Laden’ Tops Netflix TV Charts In Debut Week; ‘Forever’ Grows Audience To Remain In Top 3
Image
Netflix’s English TV list underwent an overhaul last week with American Manhunt: Osama bin Laden debuting in the top spot with 12.6M views from May 12 to 18.

Second place went to a new documentary on the grisly true story of two of the UK’s most prolific murderers in Fred and Rose West: A British Horror Story, which managed 8.3M views.

The only returner to the Top 3 was Mara Brock Akil’s adaptation of Judy Blume’s seminal coming-of-age novel Forever, which held onto its third place spot with 6.7M views, nearly doubling its audience from its debut week.

The Four Seasons, which came in at No. 1 the week before, was down to fourth place with 5.3M views during this interval. That’s quite a large drop from its first two weeks, when it sat around 12M views. However, the series is quite short, meaning that most of its initial...

The Four Seasons season 2 renewed at Netflix (but one star likely won't be back)
Image
It's time to clear your calendar for another year of vacations with one of the most dysfunctional friend groups on television! As part of its Upfronts presentation in May 2025, Netflix announced the exciting renewal of The Four Seasons season 2. The new breakout hit comedy series debuted on May 1 and shot off like a rocket, picking up impressive viewership stats right out of the gate.

As Netflix boasts in its renewal announcement, The Four Seasons has stayed put in the No. 1 spot of the weekly Top 10 English TV Shows ranking. Across its first two weeks of release, the comedy series has grabbed 24.4 million views so far, which is an amazing figure for not only a comedy series on Netflix but a new comedy series on Netflix. Of course, the star power doesn't hurt.

The Four Seasons was co-created by Tina Fey, who also stars in the series, executive produces, and wrote...

Demi Moore at an event for Another Happy Day (2011)
Demi Moore & Colman Domingo will be abducted by aliens in Strange Arrivals
Demi Moore at an event for Another Happy Day (2011)
Demi Moore and Colman Domingo are set to star in Strange Arrivals, an alien abduction-themed romance inspired by the true story of Betty and Barney Hill and based on the podcast by Toby Ball.

Betty and Barney Hill were “an interracial couple who, in 1961, became the first reported case of an alien abduction, as they journeyed back from their honeymoon in Niagara Falls. Their experience catapulted them to fame and celebrity, but underneath that notoriety simmered the truth of what really happened that night, which would test even the most epic of romances.“

Roger Ross Williams (Stamped from the Beginning) will direct Strange Arrivals for See-Saw Films, based on a screenplay by Jane Anderson (Olive Kitteridge).

In a statement, Williams said, “As a director, to be able to work with actors at the top of their craft, is a dream. Demi and Colman coming together for the first time to...

’Schitt’s Creek’s Dan Levy Returns to TV With ‘The Connors’ and ‘Ghosts’ Alums in New Crime Comedy
Image
Netflix has officially greenlit a brand-new comedy series co-created by Schitt’s Creek star Dan Levy and Bottomsbreakout Rachel Sennott, with Levy set to star alongside Ghosts and The Four Seasons actress Taylor Ortega and Emmy-winning legend Laurie Metcalf. The untitled project will consist of eight episodes and is expected to begin production later this year. What a mightily impressive line-up that is, goodness gracious.

The announcement was made during Netflix’s upfront presentation in New York by chief content officer Bela Bajaria, who also confirmed new seasons for The Diplomat, Bridgerton, and Love on the Spectrum.

According to the official logline from Netflix, the comedy will follow “two deeply incapable siblings (Levy and Ortega) who are blackmailed into the world of organized crime.” Yes, you read that right. Think Arrested Development meets Fargo — but with more guilt and better sweaters. And presumably no banana stand, but we can't say that for sure.

The Four Seasons ending, explained: Yes, that shocking reveal happened!
Image
This post contains spoilers from The Four Seasons on Netflix from this point forward.

The Four Seasons has arrived on Netflix and brought with it eight episodes of relationship drama care of a close-knit group of friends. Having been close for decades, this group has seen each other through breakups, marriages, children, and everything in between, but this particular sequence of four seasonal trips are some of the most impactful they have taken yet.

Across the eight episode season, two episodes are devoted to a particular season and its accompanying trip, beginning with a spring excursion to Nick (Steve Carell) and Anne's (Kerri Kenney-Silver) home for a surprise vow renewal that results in the explosion of a kiln and the dissolution of their marriage. Nick then begins dating the much younger Ginny (Erika Henningsen).

Meanwhile, Kate (Tina Fey) and Jack (Will Forte) have been having some trouble in their own marriage,...

Kerri Kenney-Silver Talks The Four Seasons, Anne's journey and Alan Alda
Image
You’re used to laughing with Kerri Kenney-Silver in Reno 911! — the Emmy-nominated comedy she co-created — or in The State, the ’90s sketch comedy series from the group she co-founded — or in sitcoms like Superstore and 2 Broke Girls. But in The Four Seasonsshe’ll break your heart as Anne, an unsuspecting divorcée — and put it back together again by the time the finale cuts to black. “She thought she was set ’til the day she died. When she finds out that is not the case, she becomes completely untethered,” says Kenney-Silver. “You see her go through the four seasons of emotion and grief.”

Kenney-Silver portrays a kaleidoscopic range of emotions and pathos as Anne navigates the ups and downs of divorce, and its rippling effects on their close-knit friend group. Take co-star Colman Domingo’s word for it: “She’s just incredible. I feel like she can do anything,...

Ahead of the film’s November launch, here’s the first trailer for Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, aka Now You See Me 3.

After taking what seemed like an age to finally come together, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is coming this year, and now we have a trailer to prove it. The film reunites Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco and Morgan Freeman, while joining the action this time are Justice Smith, Rosamund Pike and Ariana Greenblatt.

It looks like we’ve got an echo of Jurassic Park: Dominion's set-up here with both a legacy team – The Four Horsemen – and a new team of young magicians also making a name for themselves using illusion-based trickery.

The trailer suggests that Eisenberg’s character seems estranged from his former crew , and is instead working with a younger group of illusionists to nick an...

Was Franki Vallie in the Sopranos? Rusty Millo's Arc, Explained
Image
One of the most entertaining arcs of The Sopranos is definitely the sub-plot about New York's Lupertazzi Crime Family in season five. Many fans will often refer to the final season when discussing their favorite mafia-related conflict, in which New York and New Jersey went to war with each other. However, season five's inner conflict of the Lupertazzi Family is right up there with some of the best drama of the series. Tony and his family get caught in the middle of the only other true mob war that is depicted throughout the course of the series. During this season five arc, the sudden passing of Carmine Lupertazzi has sparked a power grab for control of the crime family. The two factions that go to war over who is going to be the next boss, break up the Lupertazzi family into supporters of either John Sacrimoni or Carmine Lupertazzi Jr.

‘Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft’ Explores ‘The Four Perils’ of Chinese Mythology
Image
There were two things that Tasha Huo (“The Witcher: Blood Origin”) wanted to accomplish as showrunner of the “Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft” 2D animated series (currently streaming on Netflix). She wanted to make the badass archaeologist/adventurer more vulnerable and explore Chinese mythology.

“She’s always been such a superhero in the video games,” Huo told IndieWire, “but in a TV show, we get to explore more about her emotional place where you want to see her grow out of something difficult. So that was always a starting place for me, finding a low point for her. And how does Lara Croft come out of a low point? It’s going to be more epic by the nature of who she is and the adventure we set her upon.”

The animated eight-episode series from Legendary Television bridges the timeline between the reboot “Survivor” trilogy of video games...

20 years ago, Peyton Reed developed a 1960s-set Fantastic Four film at Fox that never quite came together, but now, with Reed’s third MCU movie, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, on the verge of release, he’s finally able to close the book on “The Four.” Reed is now tied with Jon Watts and James Gunn for directing the second-most number of MCU films behind the Russo Brothers’ four titles, and Quantumania really allowed the filmmaker to incorporate some of the elements he loved from his days of reading Fantastic Four comics as a kid.

And honestly, now that they’re actually making a Fantastic Four movie,...

Ratings: ‘Big Brother’ Wins Thursday Night Packed With NFL Pre-Emptions
CBS won another Thursday primetime — thanks to “Big Brother” — on a summer night marked by chaotic Nielsen numbers — courtesy of the NFL.

Last night, every broadcast network had at least one pre-emption for NFL preseason games in multiple markets throughout the evening, inflating the early data across the board. Because the numbers were more subject to change than usual, TheWrap has updated the early data with the more accurate fast-national ratings from Nielsen below. And, yes, “Big Brother” still scored a touchdown — just not by as much.

CBS was first in ratings with a 0.9 rating/5 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 3.9 million, according to final numbers. In between repeats at 9 p.m., “Big Brother” scored a 1.4/6 and 5 million viewers.

Fox Alternative Chief Rob Wade On Beefing Up Slate, ‘American Idol’, Future Of ‘The Four’ & ‘Sytycd’, Peak Reality TV
There had been a lot of speculation since Disney’s acquisition of Fox assets was announced last December that the soon-to-be-independent Fox broadcast network, aka “New Fox”, will rely heavily on reality, along with live and sports programming.

While at TCA last week, Fox TV Group chairman Dana Walden stressed that while “we are definitely in the development business, and the mix of programming will remain as it was the past decade,” there has been a ramp-up in the network’s reality portfolio. At TCA, Walden announced three new series, all of them unscripted, The Masked Singer, a singing competition featuring celebrities in costumes and masks, Spin the Wheel and Mental Samurai.

In an interview with Deadline, the network’s President of Alternative Entertainment Rob Wade talks about the expansion, which started when he joined the network in early 2017. He addresses the fate of the network’s summer series The Four,...

Ratings: Cma Music Festival Carries ABC to Total Viewers Win – But Slips From Last Year
The Cma Music Festival brought in plenty of primetime eyeballs for ABC Wednesday, but not enough to match the numbers the show put out last year.

While last night’s telecast scored 4.7 million total viewers and a 0.9 rating/4 share in the all-important adults 18-49 range, the 2017 fest landed 5.7 million viewers and a 1.2/5, slipping 17.5 percent and 25 percent, respectively.

However, the special still gave its home network a win in total viewers, though ABC settled for a second-place tie with NBC in the key demo. First prize in that category went to Fox.
