I like the premise behind this film and the erieness that encompases it. It has a very raw vibe and so with that said you must prepare to spend a good deal of time waiting for things to happen. I enjoyed the fact that the opening took you right into things and we got a glimpse of "something walking in the woods". I secretly wanted to see more of it. I personally feel there are sections that linger a bit much, and some of the performances near the end fell just a tad flat, but that's just me. The camping scenes felt very real to me and when stuff started to unfold, I felt in the moment the most. All in all it was a fun watch with some very creepy and original moments!
The fact that the figure stopped moving and was visibly standing still when it reached the end of its walk. It's particularly visible when he shows the clip that he "ran through " some unnamed software.
When you see the wood's interior, it's really easy to see why the figure was able to move so fluidly. Those woods are very open.
The tent pitching scene is fairly entertaining, being in fast forward.
It's a little, "Blair Witchy", only on a lower budget.
There's even an actor in the credits for the, "figure walking".
It looked fake and I'm calling it as listed incorrectly as, "Documentary".
I mentioned a couple of things in the movie, but I wouldn't call them spoilers.
Bit boring for me.

I had 0 idea what to expect. I wasn't thoroughly disappointed as I have been with some other movies with big names in them but I wasn't impressed either. The interviews at the end made it worse in my opinion. I don't know. It resonates in some ways with ACTUAL sites like that but this was not a "Documentary" and shouldn't be allowed in that category because he simply read some books or whatever is pushing it to be called as such. The bar should be a lot higher or nothing at all. I'm realizing as I'm writing this and going through it in my head how bad it was. It's a waste of time. Don't bother unless you're actively trying to scare your 3yr old child.
I am a huge fan of mocumentary-style films and this one was a decent effort and turned out well. I love the lore behind the story, which for me, was the hook. The build up does take some time to get to, so I feel one needs to enjoy slow-paced films before heading into it. But honestly, it pays off in the end. Sure, it isn't some action packed, in-your-face horror film but the core elements of an interesting story exist. I do wish there was a bit more, to give it that dread I was wanting but it's an honest effort! I think if the director continues down the line, in this style of filmmaking, he can really perfect it.
I'm still waiting...not really but I'll never get that time back. This was awful and I'm not that picky about my horror. I'm a big fan of found footage, this boring mess should have stayed lost.
I tend to believe so many movies have their rating pushed up by family, friends or their cousin who invested their life saving in dreck like this.
I was really hoping for some creepy supernatural scares but alas...I would recommend that no one anyone waste their time on this one...my three star rating was being extremely generous...it really, in my humble opinion, deserved far less.
Well back to searching for the next Good creepy horror.
