A meeting of former classmates is taking place in the district center of Varmaly. Policeman Vasya takes a car with the remains of a man out of the pond.

In the flooded car, Vasya finds a mysterious meteorite. Ex-class star Milka finds out why her husband Anton came to Varmaley.

Vasya's wife, Nina, decides to move in with Anton and his daughter Katya. Milka takes revenge on her husband for treason and accuses him of murder.

Classmates Grinya and Dinya agree to kill Anton to save their lives. Katya wants to hide the meteorite to protect Vasya.

Katya manages to escape from Anton, who kidnapped her. Vasya and his fellow villagers are looking for their daughter and find the corpse of their schoolmate.

Milka tries to force Katya to give her the meteorite by threats. Vasya's classmate, Ryzhukhin, is hiding from the teacher Agronomova.

Ryzhukhin becomes aware of the dark secret of Agronomova. Dinya and Milka are fighting for possession of a space fragment.

Milka takes up arms to get a meteorite. Vasya is trying to save Nina and Katya, who are being held hostage.
