I was really looking forward to this program. First episode was bad and the second even worse. Other than episode one's Simu Liu, everyone else can't really be called celebrities. Then, they're stupid as hell. Second episode I knew every single answer and they just stood there with blank looks on their faces. Plus, all the questions were extremely soft balls and yet they didn't answer or were wrong. They act like they're drunk and treat the program like an improv comedy show. I couldn't cancel it off my DVR recording list fast enough. Couldn't take another minute! What a dumpster fire of a miss!
... for some of the celebrities. Some of them look completely clueless, giving ridiculous answers to really easy clues. And when they don't do that, they don't pay enough attention to the clue.
You have to understand these clues are WAY dumbed down and some of the celebrities STILL can't perform. The show tried to make them look good, and failed.
However, a few of the celebrities are well-rounded people just like most contestants and fans, and can drive through some of the contestant categories showing that at least THEY have as much common knowledge as anyone you might know. LOL
We've seen through the second semi-final round, and so far both people who advanced to the final did a decent job on the show.
And yes, a FEW of the celebrities act out so much they make utter fools of themselves thinking they're cute but really just annoying the hell out of most viewers. Thankfully, all of those lost ... mostly by WIDE margins.

"Celebrity Jeopardy!" remains a reliably entertaining format. There's a certain thrill in watching contestants tackle trivia, and the show's structure mirrors the classic 'Jeopardy!' experience we all know and love. It's comfort television, really. The charitable aspect adds a nice touch, too. However, I've noticed a shift in the 2025 season that's left me a little puzzled, and frankly, the title 'Celebrity Jeopardy!' seems to be a bit of a misnomer this year. While I have the utmost respect for every contestant, it feels like the 'celebrity' quotient has dipped significantly. Where we used to see A-list actors, prominent athletes, and well-known figures, this season seems to feature a lot of... well, less recognizable individuals. It's not a matter of talent or intelligence; it's simply that the show's 'star power' feels diminished. It's a strange contrast. We're still getting the 'Jeopardy!' experience, but the buzz that comes with seeing big names compete is noticeably absent. I wonder if it's a matter of scheduling conflicts, budget constraints, or a deliberate shift in focus. Whatever the reason, it does take away from the overall excitement. To be clear, I'm not trying to be disrespectful to anyone who has appeared on the show. Everyone who appears on the show is a celebrity to someone, and they all are donating to good causes. It is just that the marketing of the show, and the expectations that have been set, are not being met. The title of the show itself, 'Celebrity Jeopardy!,' implies a level of recognizable stardom that simply isn't consistently present this season. Ultimately, 'Celebrity Jeopardy!' is still a fun watch, but I hope future seasons can recapture some of that old Hollywood magic, and perhaps reconsider the title if the current trend continues.
Remember when SNL imagined Jeopardy with vapid, ignorant celebrities?
Well ABC straight up stole the idea.
Watch as millionaires stare blankly at the cameras when asked questions like "Who is buried in Grant's Tomb".
This is astonishingly bad.
The 30 minute format we all know and love is now a bloated affair, 30 minutes is now collectively spent between rounds as the host makes inane small talk with the dumbest contestants ever. You'll be yelling at your TV halfway through episode one.
None of these people know how to play the game, their wagers are a joke, "true daily doubles" almost never occur because they're all afraid to go big.
Also, was Mayim EVER interesting or charismatic?
She's pleasant enough but man is she a bore.
Triple Jeopardy is a nice touch though so there's that.

Some contestants were a little to much, and yes at times they could be childish, but I think the show is fun for thise who want it. Some people think jeopardy is just for super smart people, so its nice that they have celebs on. I think it should be renewed, but maybe moved to an earlier time slot. I do believe they coild find a different shoe to put on in prime time, or maybe move it to a Monday. I still think kts a great program, with a decent host, and okay contestants. So I look forward to seeing the show back this fall.
I don't know what else to put here, because theres a minimum character limit. So I'm just using this fill the space.
