Might be good if you're crazy high on something otherwise just don't waste you're time OR lower your expectations thinking you'll watch a "throw back" movie cause it is clearly putting "famous" names on a piece of trash to get an audience.
This movie is about as racist as a ministrel blackface show and about as sexist as a... random rap video, I guess...
And 20 solid minutes of it are rappers lipsynching to their not very good 'let me on touch that booty booty booty, hoe' songs, I'm not sure what that genre is called but yeah I'm not a fan of that specific sub-genre of rap, IE which was popular for a couple years in the 2010's...
I was surprised when I saw at the credits that Nick Cannon directed and wrote it, I imagined he would be above stereotyping black people this way but I guess not...
It's not all bad, child star Bobb'e J Thompson from Role Models still has some likability factor about him as a teenager and it was nice to see Wilmer Valderama from That 70's Show and Efren Ramirez from Napoleon Dynamite in 2 different roles, albeit very stereotypical latino ese gangsters...
I was surprised that they didn't throw in a bunch of geeky white people since it was so thriving on stereotypes...
Anyway, the movie is dumb as dirt but somehow it managed to entertain slightly occasionally so yeah I'll slip it a 5, but I can perfectly understand if people hate it, and to be frank, most probably will

The real distaste for this movie is that none of the "it girls" were black yet all the guys were. Nothing wrong with so called inter-racial dating but to me the movie made it seem that black women aren't desirable. Totally unacceptable
I can never get enough of Kevin Hart, Luenell, Mike Epps, Katt Williams, & Tiffany Haddish! A welcomed addition to the comedy was Lil' Duvall! Great team! But, the booty dancing & lip syncing for what seemed like every 5 minutes was too much! The movie was "School Dance" not "Dance School"! I was sick of watching what was supposed to be teenagers twerking constantly! The comedy was so much more fun!! Still worth it to watch and it was really nice seeing the young man from "Role Models" grown up, Bobbe J Thompson! He did great in his lead role! However, if you are into dancing and hip hop music, this is definitely the movie for you!! Beware, there are many references to race and cultural biases. Sorry if that is considered a spoiler.
I don't understand how this movie has an EXCELLENT staff of comedians, yet movie didn't meet my expectation. wasn't that good. Kevin hart, Lil Mexican dude/beanie& Luelle was only 1to make me laugh, and there was sum funny actors here. nick cannon sucks period.its like he tried make it real funny but made it real corny.. and for high school, WAY2 MUCH sexual content, booty popping hoes really...high school was full of hoes, n players but not no VIDEO HOES ON GROUPIE crap.it was like a rap music video that's it..actors cant act, obvious audio over lip singing /rap/like wen they rap n freestyle . i'm sorry ..failed. who r these rappers anyway, i really wanted to like it but i don't. kelvin hart was only reason i watched again overall that high school scene more like a music video event w/ groupie hoes...too sexual too corny PS; family guy's Joe, hes hilarious, but he isn't memorable in here =[
