    Confusing, bewildering

Buffy, the Robot Slayer? Is that what I'm watching? It's hard to tell. The first episode is more like a second or third episode, and after watching episode five, I still haven't caught up. Like Buffy, the main character is an optimistic high school student who discovers that she has been "chosen", in this case, to pilot an ultra-strong robot. Against who has still not been made clear. Three or four space hoodlums, it seems. She's befriended by an ice-queen princess and a bubbly airhead with large breasts who are actually antagonists. It makes for a Kirk, Spock, McCoy dynamic. There is a floating fortress just off the beach where "they" house the robots. It's sort of a neighborhood S. H. I. E. L. D. The hero's cousin seems to know what is going on, but so far, they haven't revealed how or why. It's a strange show. I wish it had a proper introduction.
