Writer/Director Mike Naulls had decided not to make a sequel to Family Man (2009) after the grief he experienced making the film. He had shelved his partial script until Danesh Hanbury got in touch with Naulls asking to make a sequel. Naulls met with Hanbury and read him the partial script. Based on the positive reaction from Hanbury, and realizing he actually liked what he had written very much, Naulls decided to go forward with the sequel which became 'Steen's Revenge - Volume 1.'

Crazy credits
'Aaron M.ystery', credited as the Assistant Camera and Stills Photographer, is not credited with his real surname because he will not reveal what his real surname is beyond the initial 'M.'
