Awful

Oh it's just so bad. The camera work is grainy, the picture is too dark, theres inconsistencies in the acting, the plot maks very little sense. If you have 16 mins to spare, watch anything other than this

Though largely based on Camillo Boito's "Christmas Eve," the film also contains some elements of his other story dealing with similar themes, "The Body."

An earlier, shorter work-print exists with an alternate soundtrack and completely different version of the hotel scene and differently edited versions of the dinner party and laboratory sequences; the sexual montage inter-cut with Elliot stroking Mary's body wasn't featured either.
