I'm glad I gave this a shot. It's well produced and very well acted. The story is bizarre, but inventive and not impossible. Within its bounds, the plotting and writing is very good, with all the action holding together. That alone is an achievement these days.
A black comedy, exactly as advertised - and a pretty good one too.

This film tells the story of a disgruntled man who goes to the estate agent to complain about his house purchase. Things soon spiral out of control.
The plot is actually very suspenseful, and I just could not figure out how it's going to end. It is engaging and captivating. It is great to see many famous faces in it as well. It exceeded all my expectations, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Novice director Jonathan Watson makes his 2nd directorial debut and his first full length feature film, and knocks it out of the ballpark!
This is a well written, cast and produced dark comedy with few LOL moments, but you will have a constant grin throughout, especially from the perfectly cast Danny McBride who's performance was outstanding for his character.
He, as well as the great directing along with the perfect cinematography make this film stand out and very entertaining.
The entire premise of the set location (pretty much abandoned gated communities) make this a different type of cat-and-mouse comedy thriller that is enjoyable start to finish. The pacing is great and the length is perfect.
An excellent Sunday hangover popcorn flick! A well deserved 8/10 from me

I wasn't expecting much going into this movie, but I was ultimately pleased with it overall. Danny McBride is hilarious as the angry kidnapping client, and Rosemarie DeWitt is great as the real estate agent who is kidnapped. If you're a fan of dark humor, give it a chance. There's some hilariously shocking scenes that will have you gasping, which will be followed by a burst of laughter. Watching McBride's character dig himself deeper and deeper into a hole throughout the film was surprisingly entertaining and funny. I gave it a 6/10 because the ending is weak. I don't think I'll ever give it a second watch, but I still enjoyed it overall. All in all it's just a silly, dark comedy thriller worth a watch.
Cast does a good job. If you tend to like Danny McBride, you'll probably like this.

- GoofsWhen returning to Los Compos De Oro with the newly-kidnapped Morgan, the second aerial shot of them on the highway shows Sonny's yellow Hummer driving on the left side of the road (and the random vehicle traveling the opposite direction driving on their left side of the road), as if suddenly driving in the UK for the one camera shot.
