The show showed highlights of the day ..australia is far bigger country .i notice with australians are less likely to help runners and seem less trusting .In the UK version . Runners ask people to help and tell them they are being hunted 9/10 helped ...on the uk version it was shown and filmed on the same day and was not pre recorded so the public could phone the hotline if they spotted the hunters and get a reward if it led to a capture. Australian general public has no idea why these people are being chased so when they are aproached the public in AU i found a little rude and stuck up not even stop to ask its like get out of my face attitude ..so how many good samaratons in AU that helped was appauiling ..shows how good and curtious the brittish can be.
Its a worry that a massive team of pros with drones, trackers, helicopters, cyber experts etc are outwitted for 21 days by ordinary unskilled people without any devices or knowledge. The only reason some were caught was because low lifes dobbed them in.that shouldnt be allowed. Its like cheating as the hunters may not have found them otherwise.very disappointing. I would like to see a fairer game played.eg.hunters should not be able to search houses unless the owners say they can.fugitives helpers should not be giving the hunters their phones to look at. Its fake and not how it would really be. We are in trouble Australia lol.
The only reason I haven't rated this lower is because the gameplay element of the show is entertaining. But all the "drama" that happens in "Hunter HQ" is among the most cringeworthy television you'll ever see.
The highly staged performances in the HQ "Dave! We've just had a ping!" are so obviously scripted that you expect someone from HQ to look out the window, shaking their fist, and saying "I'll get you next time you meddling kids" (a la Scooby Doo).
It isn't even easy to take the game itself seriously when rule changes are implemented (such as freezing one team's bank accounts) to provide the hunters with an unfair advantage.
The premise for this show is well thought out but unfortunately, the execution is not worth tuning into.

This is by far the worst reality tv show Channel 10 has ever produced. Pure unadulterated mind numbing drivel. Everything about it was excruciating from the brain dead contestants, to the stupid the pretentious shaky camera work, and the phony hot pursuits, as well as the boofy swinging dicks in suits at HQ standing around, hands on hips trying to look important etc. One for the sewerage treatment plant...
As a cat and mouse show, this is fun to watch however it is largely scripted and framed in a disjointed manner. For those with a general awareness of the methodologies, this show is nitpick worthy.
Overall the show feels like a tourism department took an off the shelf show format to show off Victoria.
With a professional vs professional version and more linear editing, this would be a genuinely fun show.
