Seeing IMDB rated it 5.9stars I thought oh it'll be half decent.
WRONG This is awful, terrible actor, terrible plot. Low budget isn't the word.
I love fantasy, I saw orcs and thought yes that's for me.
This film is for no one, I genuinely think they found the actors off the street.
Seriously don't waste your time.
It starts with them just walking and talking, maybe it'll pick up, it doesn't. I have nothing positive to say, the bit I enjoyed the most was turning it off.
Even if you have nothing to watch, just stare at a wall, you'll have more fun than if you watch this, I'm annoyed I wasted my life on this.

This is just appalling. It's a film that an 11 year old could make if they were given enough money. Even the trailer is awfully done. Wanted to watch it for a giggle to be honest.
For the LOVE of god. Stuart Brennan is not a film maker. I've now seen 2 of his 'films' and they are just attrocisouly executed. He doesn't seem to be good at one department, let alone all the departments he is credited for for his films (writing, directing, acting etc etc). Maybe he should just stick to producing... because somehow he's able to get funding all the time, and recruite/con relatively well known actors into roles. How many more films is he going to be given budgets for when he hasn't managed to do a single decent one yet? It's ridiculous.

I'm particularly appreciative of these kinds of movies these days. So many movies today are so predictable, mostly thanks to political zealots (i'm guessing lol.) That's all fine, but I love grimdark/horror-low magic scale, gritty realistic period piece movies & tv shows & books. Not too much around & I get why. Movies like Black Death, shows books like First Law, ASOIF/G. O. T. Needs more shows & movies. I was pleasantly surprised. With everything so predictable these days, to to the makers, thank you for this. Most grimdark/horror/gritty esque shows are ruined in today's political climate. If I watch a horror movie made let's say 2020 & after, straight white guys & straight asian guys, if present end up dead & quick. I watched an Australian 'horror' show about a bachelorette party on a boat that sinks... enter shark(s.) 2 by the end. From the beginning, you might think, there aren't many main cast males so how can you determine who dies? Well, two of the women were lesbians, and 1 or both were minority. No way they die off. The makers would likely get attacked, canceled, etc. I don't blame them and I like Australian horror tbh. I just prefer movies, shows, & books that aren't so predictable. So, Warchief, as a lifelong orc fan... bravo.
Call it fan fiction or one off adventure, Warchief is made for fans. It does much with little. It is unapologeticly dedicated to its genre, a pure fantasy of action and magic. A role playing game come to life on the screen. Every scene is a labor of love and Warchief has a charm for that. Of particular note are the scenes played in Orcish, and there are many. I don't know if there were subtitles for these, but if there were, the version I saw didn't have them. Instead I got the creepy feeling of being an outsider looking into an impenetrable culture. The actors inhabit their roles. My biggest complaint is the overuse of smoke in the final scenes.
Love that it doesn't try to be all things to all people.
If you're a fan of fantasy, this one is a fun diversion.

Wasted my time seeing this movie... I like fantasy and adventure kind of movies but this one really sucks! Nothing really exciting and interesting that will make you glued to your seat. So lame that your focusing of something else while the movie is playing. I am not saying this because it's not an American movie that is produced by a huge film production. I have watched other foreign fantasy and adventure films like Troll (a Norwegian 2022 film) and it was interesting and was able to finish watching it till the end. Pls do not bother to watch Warchief and save your precious time to something productive instead.
