So a 1 star review here says, "I am sure there must be another production out there to watch regarding Mr. Limbaugh. Why these producers chose not to show all aspects is beyond me. The series "Dark Side of the '90s" is dark and biased. What a shame."
Uh huh. I don't know why this person was surprised that a show titled "Dark Side of the '90s" chose to show, you know, the dark side of Rush Limbaugh rather than "all aspects" of him. Gosh, that is a mystery, right?
No! It's not! It was advertised as the dark side and that's what it showed! Personally, the episode was better than I was expecting, having not watched any other episodes and having written the series off as tabloid television. But this episode featured real journalists and Jen Senko, whom I recognized from her documentary, The Brainwashing of My Dad.
Here's the thing: is the episode biased? Yes. Is the episode factual? Also yes! This episode is worth watching because, frankly, I view Rush as being a major catalyst for the predicament we are in today where we have a largely polarized body politic who cannot agree on facts, and it's putting our democracy in peril.
What Rush did was manufacture things and present them as truth, which his audience believed, even if he didn't. What this episode presents is truth, whether the audience likes it or not. It doesn't deserve 1 star for that, seriously.
Additionally, please note that I say this as someone raised in a white, conservative, evangelical, Christian, Republican household who read a book by Limbaugh in high school and even voted for Trump in 16- though, at the time, I truly didn't want Trump OR Clinton.
And why was that? Because Rush Limbaugh denigrated Hillary Clinton during my formative years and I believed him, which was an egregious mistake.
No politician is perfect, but are flawed in relatively normal ways.
Trump is malignantly narcissistic and white, conservative, evangelical, Christian, Republican voters need to understand that they've been lied to by Rush Limbaugh, Paul Weyrich, Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, and many others throughout the years. The evidence is abundant, seriously.

People would trust others more if there was less bias in documentaries and reporting. This was an absolute horrific depiction of who Rush was and what he stood for.
