Fans of The Incredible Dr. Pol will remember seeing an obituary for one of the veterinarian's grandsons, Adam, in a 2019 episode of the series, but so many still do not know what happened.
Although The Incredible Dr. Pol was officially canceled, the longtime veterinarian and his family were recently featured in a brand-new series, The Incredible Pol Farm.
The original show, which ran for 24 seasons, was beloved by much of the National Geographic audience. However, it wasn't just Jan Pol that fans grew close to. Many also cared about and kept up with Dr. Pol's family members, especially since many of them made sporadic appearances on the show.

Wednesdays are still great for fans of animated series on Disney+ this month as the final season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch continues, along with season 1 of X-Men ’97. If you haven’t taken the leap to bundle Disney+ and Hulu, it might be time. Streaming is only getting more expensive and competitive, and the enticing bundle (which also includes ESPN) might be a version of cable TV, but it’s also just cost efficient. Disney+ and Hulu are so intertwined that their monthly listing updates come in the same email — and as such, we decided to compile them here for you in the same list.
Whether you have Disney+ or Hulu, or both (and the IndieWire staff has weighed on our favorites), each has its benefits. Disney has the family-friendly titles, the Star Wars and Marvel (new episodes of “The Bad Batch” and “X-Men: 97” continue through April), while Hulu is the place to catch FX originals and network episodes. Both streamers have the rights to distribute National Geographic titles, which are well worth exploring along with the rest of the library.

Austin Butler in Apple TV+’s ‘Masters of the Air’
The 2023-2024 primetime television season looked nothing like previous years, with reruns, unscripted shows, and international imports populating broadcast networks’ lineups. The WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, though undeniably justified, took quite a toll on all the networks. Fortunately, the strikes have been settled, production has begun on nearly every new and returning series, and the midseason January lineup hints that things are slowly returning to normal.
Here’s a look at the shows scheduled to launch their new season – or series – premieres in January 2024. NBC’s Chicago shows – Chicago Fire, Med, and P.D. – will kick off new seasons on January 17th, with the Law & Order franchises returning on January 18th. New highly anticipated series debuting in January include Echo, Expats, Masters of the Air, The Brothers Sun, and Sanctuary: A Witch’s Tale.

Even in the age of streaming, there’s no denying broadcast TV has remarkable staying power. Free broadcast channels refused to die when cable was the primary method of TV for American consumers, and they have not been intimidated by the proliferation of streaming either.
The major broadcast networks ABC, CBS, Fox, and NBC may not be ready to go completely digital just yet, but each has developed an app where users can go to watch their content. Some of these networks have robust channel offerings on their respective apps, while others have mostly channels that can be accessed with TV Everywhere credentials, keeping the free ad-supported TV (Fast) channels they own on separate apps.

We’re officially entering the spooky season and while Disney+ already dropped a few scary things in September, they’re doubling down in October. One of their most Halloween-centric offerings on display is “Werewolf By Night,” which audiences first learned about just a few weeks ago during Disney’s splashy Marvel and LucasFilm panel at the D23 Expo.
Directed by longtime Pixar collaborator, and acclaimed composer, Michael Giacchino, “Werewolf By Night” is the first Marvel Halloween special. The trailer was shown during D23 Expo and looked like a beautiful tribute to old school horror films, but also heavy on the (possibly implied) gore and scares. Filmed in black and white, the special feels a complete throwback to the old-school Universal frights of the past; think “Bride of Frankenstein” or “The Invisible Man.” The special follows Gael García Bernal as a man with the ability to become a werewolf, and explores...

2020, cursed year that it was, represented the first turn of the calendar since 2009 that did not feature an entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With its list of new releases for January 2021, Disney+ is set to immediately rectify that. Not only is WandaVision the first new McU installment since 2019’s Spider-Man: Far From Home, it’s the first ever Marvel television show from Marvel Studios’ reordering under content czar Kevin Feige.
WandaVision is set to premiere on Jan. 15 and will feature two beloved McU characters Wanda Maximoff a.k.a. Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and The Vision (Paul Bettany). As the trailers reveal, this series will find Wanda and Vis living in domestic bliss in before discovering all is not what it seems. The series will pay homage to classic TV sitcoms and premiere new episodes each Friday.

“The Simpsons” and “Star Wars Rebels” are the most hotly anticipated of the existing series that will be on Disney Plus in the U.S. and the first foreign countries where the service will roll out, according to new research.
Parrot Analytics measures demand for content by capturing billions of data points from a variety of sources, tracing interactions it refers to as “demand expressions” from the likes of social media, video streaming, photo sharing, blogging, fan and critic ratings, and file sharing. It combines these into a single, country-specific measure of audience demand.
Running the numbers for the pre-existing titles that Disney has said its new platform will offer has produced two clear winners: long-running animated series “The Simpsons,” which belongs to the Mouse following its acquisition of Fox assets, and the “Star Wars Rebels” animated show. The analysis covers Australia and New Zealand, the Netherlands, and the U.
