I actually liked it. It was light and funny in an obvious way like it wasn't too much and not lame, the mix was weird but that what actually made it light. Reese witherspoon and her moments with her mom did touched my heart and made me realize how motherhood can be little challenging on both ends and I did relate to that. The accuracy of how gen Z would get married and deal with relationships was portrayed correctly and how they are using synonyms "gaslighting" even though they didn't realize what does it mean.
The dynamics of family, motherhood and fatherhood and all the unexpected feelings that overwhelms us as a family was shown in a cool non obvious way.
Its a mix of everything and fits exactly where it should be.

Here is a film that will make you laugh alot if you just sit back and enjoy it for what it is. Don't come in expecting the best movie ever made. Its a light hearted comedy. Try and see the humor in the situations each character faces and you will thoroughly enjoy it.
Will Ferrell doesnt have to always shock and awe us to be relevant. His level of funny has matured just as he has. Yes he may not be as funny as he was in "Old School" but he doesn't need to be that funny in every role.
The movie is entertaining, but of course like always there will be people who complain and say, well this isn't as good as this movie or that movie. Don't be willing to write off everything as a disappointment before you have even truly given it a legitimate chance. Try not to have huge such huge expectations, or try to compare this movie to all the others you have seen before it, and if you do that, I am certain you will enjoy this funny movie as my friend and I did. It literally had us laughing in most of the scenes. 7/10.

What happens when two weddings are booked on the same day, two different families from different backgrounds, will there be a compromise, or will they be chaos?
Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon do surprisingly click, both give each other time to be funny and never step over one another. But the rest of the movie tries too hard to be edgy, and the jokes don't really land. Some moments come across has more awkward than funny. Most of the other characters don't really grab your interest, but just make you want to cringe a little. Ferrell and Witherspoon are very talented, but I just wish the film had a rewrite.

... Which is pretty dang good! This was a slapstick movie, which usually isn't my genre but I love me some Will and Reese!
Silly, ridiculous, over the top, but it worked for me.
The highlight was the closing credits. That actually took it from a six to a seven.
ABOUT MY REVIEWS:
I do not include a synopsis of the film/show -- you can get that anywhere and that does not constitute a meaningful review -- but rather my thoughts and feelings on the film that hopefully will be informative to you in deciding whether to invest 90-180 minutes of your life on it.
My scale: 1-5 decreasing degrees of "terrible", with 5 being "mediocre" 6- OK. Generally held my interest OR had reasonable cast and/or cinematography, might watch it again 7 - Good. My default rating for a movie I liked enough to watch again, but didn't rise to the upper echelons 8- Very good. Would watch again and recommend to others 9- Outstanding. Would watch over and over; top 10% of my ratings 10 - A classic. (Less than 2% receive this rating). For Lifetime Movies for Chicks (LMFC), drop the above scale by 3 notches. A 6 is excellent and 7 almost unattainable.

I was eager to watch this one. I love comedies and these two are among the best at it. Spirited was amazing, so i has renewed faith in a streaming platform to make it right...
And then i watched.
In the movie's defense, there are a few laughing out loud moment (mostly courtesy of Ferrell), but those moments feel far apart and mainly due to the comedy ability of the stars.
But this movies feels wrong sometimes. It just plays mean, they do crazy things that feel forced and awkward, some of the humour its just dry and lazy and it portraits southerners like they still live in the 1800s. If its a feel good movie, they do a very good job of making you feel sorry for the couples. And its hard to like someone with so many bad actions, despite being super likeable.
Oh, the score its awful - and why play over and over? - and the aligator scene its stupid.
A missed opportunity, not a movie i will rewatch.
