An amazing film it is indeed. It was as real as it gets.

I liked how perfectly the past was brought into the present. The synchronization of past and present occurrences was flawless. The acting was excellent.

Sista lacks considerable technicality and dramatic cinematic angles, but the simplicity of the tale does not necessitate them. Congratulations to the director for making a film that you want to see again and relive some of the moments in. Keep a tissue handy for this one.

It also includes a significant moral lesson, particularly for young girls, about how teenage pregnancy can wreck their life and plans for future ambitions.

I give SISTA a rating of 9 over 10, and I think everyone should see it because it honors all the women who toil and fight against all odds to provide for their families with the best they can. This film is a masterpiece!

    A very deep story

At first glance, Sista appeared like a casual movie, with nothing extravagant about the plot, but when you actually paused and ruminated on the story, hmm... it was deep

DELICIOUS -We loved Kehinde Bankole😃 She's a hardworking actress and it show off on screen. She took us through the pain, labor, and joys of raising children. And her kids, Adeoluwa Akintobi and Chiamaka Uzorkwe, were so full of love and care for her. They looked like a real family

-Though the film didn't have a parallel story, you could tell Biodun Stephen wanted to solely focus on Sista to highlight her agony and resilience to bring up strong and well-mannered children

-The costume, hair, and makeup designs, nothing to criticize! They were refined and elevated the aesthetics of the film Kudos!

-We had all our favorite actors on set! Chimezie Imo, Tope Olowoniyan, Kehinde, Deyemi, Bisola Aiyeola, and even new faces like Adewale Rukayat, playing young Sista

-Why did Sista actually called herself 'Sista'? Being a 'sister' is something relatable and cordial, and this showed how Sista wanted to redefine herself. She was no longer the woman abandoned to raise two children by herself, but one who was a friend and a person concerned for the welfare of her children and others, and we saw that emphasized by her work ethics

    BLAND

-Abiola Ladipo will not kill us with his smoke 😆 He did it again, the same smoke effect that made images look fuzzy in the movie Wildflower was back, distorting the cinematography

-The sound engineering was sadly very ADR-ish, not well mixed

-Overall, Sista was a straightforward plot, a little more complexity and intriguing moments would have upgraded the movie.

An excellent film with valid lessons. Thank you

Single mothers are a blessing to this world. Being one myself, I can relate with every of her pain. I wept all through because I know that feeling and I realised our stories may be different but our strength is the same everywhere. I believe the reason most men flee is the same as the man's . I hope that men in similar situations find the courage to do the same, rich or not. These children NEED YOU! God bless the crew, the directors and everyone involved in this project. An amazing film it is indeed. It was as real as it gets and our children are absolutely so supportive and they are the real love oo our lives. God bless them all.

Treasure or Trash? This could help you decide

My Review for the movie "Sista'"

A movie can appeal to you emotionally and still make sense. That's the movie "Sista"

Real, practical, and to sum it up in one word - "Solid".

I have always thought that we can make movies that appeal to emotions in Nigeria without having to 'rub our heads' with scenes of unrealistic suffering and unnecessary sad tunes😩.

    Sista' brought this to life.

I don't want to dig deep into the camera angles in this movie because what was that?.

It just felt like everything told a story.

Yes, the movie started somewhat slow, you'd have to be a person that can be patient to savour the taste of movies like food, not to jump out of this one easily or get to that place where you'll say 'Oya na, get to the point already, what's it with the flash back scenes and cleaner everywhere? " 🤣

    But this movie is gold.

Tells us so much; the value of family, the importance of forgiveness, marrying right, etc.

Fola was so lucky with women. Phew!

Did anyone think about how this would have flipped if Tiwa wasn't Fola's wife, and so great a person she put herself aside, watched her husband act, gave her input on his actions and helped him make right decisions?

"Your wife is your help meet" Bible has been shouting, na here.😂

    You dun gerrit?

    Catch your sub 😩

I will give this movie an 8.

I can't even decide whose acting's best, everyone seemed to get it right, even the kids.

I'll use this review to celebrate women like Tiwa, women like Vicky, Women like Jem and every woman out there choosing her higher self.

Choosing to honour God, choosing family.

Fola's decisions may seem like decisions that would have been easy to make, until we come face to face with our demons.

Face to face with a choice of what looks like mediocre compared to the excellent thoughts we have.

    We all can be there.

However, it still does not justify Fola's actions.

No excuse is good enough to back off from family, and no, do not choose the easy way.

If you have wronged someone, make effort to get them to forgive you. If it takes time, please be patient and put the effort.

Don't give up, especially when the effect of your actions may not cause things to even out so easily like Fola and Vicky.

To another great movie Biodun Stephen.🥂

It is always how you put your movies out piece by piece and then shake it up so vigorously somewhere down the line for me.

Deciding whether or not to see this movie?

    I recommend.

An excellent film. It made me cry so emotional

Biodun Stephen has always been a good writer and producer. This one is no difference. Kudos to you mama. It portrays the love of mother for their children and the sacrifice they make. Sistá" (2022), directed by Biodun Stephen, is a poignant Nollywood film that delves into the life of a single mother, Sista, played by Kehinde Bankole. The story revolves around her struggles and resilience as she raises her two children alone after being abandoned by their father, Fola, portrayed by Deyemi Okanlawon. Sista offered a moving depiction of single motherhood and the enduring spirit of resilience. Very nice one.
