    Keeps you interested

For a Tv thriller this one isn't too bad. Like the cast. Alana de la Garza plays a fertility doctor whose partner was killed. There is a skeleton in their closet. But who is after her now? Sandrine Holt and Dan Jeannotte play the detectives. Doesn't have stupid red herrings.

    Entertaining Thriller

No, it is not the best thriller I have seen. It is not a Hitchcock film or one of Scorsese's or De Palma's thrillers from back in the 80's. But it's not a terrible movie either. I felt the need to review this title because it is unfair that this film has such low rating; and mainly because of someone who clearly did not comprehend the movie. The killer did not mistakenly kill one of his/her victims. He/she did it for a reason which is very clear if you have a brain. I will not say more cause I do not want to spoil it for anyone (which is also why I am not being specific about gender). So if you are bored and have nothing better to do, I'd say go ahead and watch this movie (especially if you enjoy whodunits). The acting is decent and so are the technical aspects of the movie. Again, it's not a work of art by any means, but it will entertain you, which is all I was expecting, so no complains here!

Promising first 15 minutes and then...

This movie started out quiteto be entertaining and interesting. And then the plot unfolded with holes big enough to drive a truck through. No character could possibly be as stupid as the person in this movie who was supposed to be a medical doctor.

I know what you did three years ago...

The first scene promised interesting things:a couple, whose attempts at getting a baby failed are given a free experimental new treatment. The gynecologist has encouraging words and we are expecting more .

Sadly, the rest is the umpteenth serial killer story in which the assassin is not the one you expect(if you are still expecting something halfway through):it's so implausible (and laughable) your disbelief needs to be suspended .

A scene between the gynecologist and an (occasional and disappointed ) lover verges on vulgarity.Besides the syringe trick is hackneyed, and the killer must not be very smart ,mistaking a man for his (female) victim in the bathroom.

Is it possible one can still find dough to produce such absolute drivel?

    Torn two ways

This is a very neat nail-biter, very well done with a dandy surprise ending. Writing, acting, cinematography...all first rate This is a very watchable movie. But it is a Canadian production, shot in and around Montreal and SUBSIDIZED BY THE Canadian AND QUEBEC GOVERNMENTS AND PRODUCED FOR Canadian MOVIE CHANNELS!!! Why then is it set in Washington DC??? This is far better than most of the dross shot under these circumstances. It's a gripping story about blackmail, revenge and murder stemming from the death of a patient at a fertility clinic. But why could it not have been set in Montreal or Toronto or some other Canadian city? But no. It's Washington, even dupliciously inserting some stock footage of the Washington skyline to prop up the counterfeit credentials. While most countries use their film industries to tell their stories, Canada grovels and grinds out pseudo American films, not having the courage to tell Canadian stories set in Canadian places to Canadian viewers. This craven and contemptible practice may create jobs in the US dominated Canadian film industry for the hacks who have not yet fled to Hollywood. But what does it say to Canadians? ...that we are timid butt kissers who believe everything in the United States is far superior to anything in Canada? Fine movie this time instead of the usual pallid products. But it is a fluke, one diamond in a pile of shoddy broken glass.
