Jean-Marie Pelt passed away during the filming of the documentary that was first thought as a portrait of this renowned botanist. Several of his interviews were already filmed, including those with Denis Cheissoux and Pierre Rabhi. Following his death, interviews with several of his friends were filmed and included in the documentary which became an homage to Pelt.
