    The gang becomes lost trying to find the US border and is forced to follow an ambulance, which brings them to the 'Shady Sanitarium'. One of the owners, Dr. Tewksbury, explains that he was the assistant of the original owner, the late Dr. Coffin. He explains that patients have been disappearing and that the ghost of Dr. Coffin - who has returned from the dead to continue his brain wave experiments - is responsible. The ghost shows up outside Scooby's window and the gang, exploring, discovers a huge solar furnace and a room in which the roof opens. Dr. Coffin's ghost shows up again, scaring Shaggy and Scooby into his laboratory. Not long after the gang discovers a gold smuggling operation in the basement of the sanitarium. Shaggy and Scooby are taken hostage and the rest of the gang must follow them to rescue them, as well as putting a stop to the smuggling operation.

The gang and remaining band members start looking for her at a creepy plantation, where an evil zombie slave of Mamba Wamba confronts Shaggy and Scooby. It isn't long before Mamba Wamba himself appears and other band members start disappearing. Shaggy and Scooby discover the voodoo priest is planning to make the entire band zombies, and after recovering a parchment Mamba Wamba tried to get the band to sign, the gang must capture Mamba Wamba and his 2 zombie slaves (including the band member) before everyone becomes a zombie.

The professor dismisses the claims but it isn't long before the ghost and sea monsters turn up on the ship and start pursuing the gang. The crewmen flee the ship, but the launch is found empty and drifting. The professor also vanishes, leaving the gang to deal with the ghost and sea monsters. A dive to the wreck reveals a cache of scuba tanks, suggesting that there may be an attempt to steal the shipwreck's treasures. Now the gang must find a way to put a stop to the thieves.
