Tecnically, it is in my opinion just an average 3D Movie. Nothing special about acting, nothing special about special-effects, nice but not overwhelming 3D-effects, pretty straight forward story-line. I still gave 7 out of of 10 points. Let me explain: Why not less? The movie thrilled me from time to time. That was exactly what i was expecting and what I wanted to see. No hardcore slasher, just a thrilling story of 4 teenagers in the forest. Why not more? In my opinion, neither acting, special effects, storyline or 3D-effects were that extraordinary that I would want to watch the movie again and again and again. I do not want to say that all of this was bad, please beware... It just didn't overwhelm me. But there is indeed one point that I really want to criticize badly. Before watching this movie I have never heard anything in my life about "geocaching". Didn't know that this exists. In my opinion the background of "geocaching" was not explained sufficiently at the beginning of that movie (only if you had watched the specials at the DVD or BluRay. I think it took me until the jump into the lake until I really understood what "geochaching" is all about.
Saw it last night. A better film than some comments would suggest. Following clues in a GPS cache event, four teens find themselves in what appears to be an abandoned military installation. As is typical for these movies, the characters act in obviously stupid ways, and find themselves in deep trouble as the facility wakes up. A clever concept, executed fairly well. Not a horror film, but it generates considerable tension. The characters are believable, and the underlying scientific concepts are close enough to reality to add some paranoiac spice to the mix. Might even be true. The film has good sound recording, but the 3-D adds nothing.
Once again as it happens so often. It still has some nice twists and story plots to it. The horror genre might be easy to access to and make movies for, but it's not easy to make a movie that will hold its own with many great movies lurking around and above it all. This one can barely make a dent, but it's not as bad as to deserve to be in the gutter with some other abominations.
The production values are decent and for a German horror movie it is pretty decent told too. Of course you won't be able to escape any cliché that is hiding around the corner, shock moments and all those things. Characters are decent enough for a movie of that size and the story holds its own. Can be watched once

3.5 / 10.
It's not overly interesting, but it's worth a look. I didn't like that it was illogical and that it wasn't explained. It's good if you have nothing else to look at and kill time.

- GoofsAt 1:23:00 when Daniel and Jessica arrive at the transformer room, the plate on the door reads "Electromagentic Hazard" instead of "Electromagnetic Harzard" and "Eastlund Transformator" instead of "Eastlund Transformer". The same plate with the same errors is seen on the inside of the door a few minutes later.
