L'un de nous doit mourir

I love to watch movies in Spanish, this was probably my first Mexican movie ever. I got Paramount + a while ago to re-watch the original Scream movies and besides that I found the rest of the movies they offered on there a bit ''sad''. One night I was scrolling through Paramount + and just decided to give it a go, although I wasn't in the biggest mood to watch a movie.

The movie is exactly like you'd expect it to be. At times it kind of reminded me of Escape Room, although this is a bit different. The acting was great and so were the characters storylines.

I personally did not expect the ending even though some might. Good movie, does what it says on the synopsis and trailer.

This is a mystery movie. The plot is unoriginal as it gets. Some people trapped in a facility, trying to find why are they here, as they face an imminent danger. I like this genre and my expectations are not very high.

It was an interesting movie, never dragged. Not great acting, just sufficient enough to not distract me. As it progressed, it was getting better. There were a few surprises, even characters looked more interesting and likeable. Still, i wouldn't call it a good movie, but definitely it was watchable.

Then, a totally unnecessary twist happened that ruined the final 10 minutes. Sure it was unpredictable, but definitely not clever. Another big revelation happens in the final minutes that there was not a single hint before. For a twist to be good, it must have been foreshadowed before. This came out of nowhere. Lazy writing.

Not a bad movie and you will probably enjoy it if you love mystery movies and your expectations are low. As for me, i didn't enjoy it much. My expectations were not high, but this was pure mediocrity.

Best I can give is 5*. The movie itself is not terrible and even that bad, but there are some serious problems. It's predictable. Second biggest problem is the cast, I couldn't care less about those guys (I blame the writer, cuz actors are good). As it goes, movie is getting better and better, there are some aspects that are awesome: idea, sound, scenes, costumes, lights... but overall I don't recommend this if you are not a fan of "puzzle movies" genre. Since I love Saw, Escape Room..., and in general this type is my cup of tea, I liked it, but I wouldn't recommend with a full heart this, if you are not mistery lover.

This is an ok movie, not in my native language, but i still managed to follow it.

The set up is a group of people who at first seem random (mostly) strangers, but as the plot develops, that is shown not to be the case. If that premise sounds familiar, it's because it's been done many times before, in movies such as The Circle, Escape Room and The Exam.

The acting is pretty good and the story is well paced, but where i have the biggest issue is with the ending. I won't spoil it but lets just say it left me feeling very unsatisfied.

This is worth a go if you have a short while to spare and are ok with subtitles (unless Spanish), but of you want good story writing, maybe this isn't ideal.

This was a really good production. The set was top notch. The cast did amazingly well. I don't think there was any one out of the main cast that wasn't exquisite. I am always particular bout overdubs so I usually prefer subtitles, but this was done very well so I enjoyed it.

The story was very creative. It has the whole Saw vibes initially with them waking up and being trapped in a house. But after awhile you realize what this is all about and the movie takes on a life of its own. The only issue for me was the last 20 min. It just didn't work for me. It felt rushed and I wasn't quite convinced when the whole big reveal happened.

But it was a good watch. I enjoyed it and would certainly recommend it.
