Truth is not simple, it is complex. The story is one of the best written in a long time and even more brilliantly directed. It engages you into believing what it isn't - a thriller. Yes this web series is not a thriller however, it is set up like a thriller because that is how we uncover the truth. Each emotion is portrayed with care and compassion and that is the beauty of this show- it gives you time to empathize with its characters. Classy performance by Boman Irani, his character is relatable yet very layered and played with finesse by him. The supporting cast has done a commendable job by supporting the storyline with really good effort. Samara has done good considering this being her debut, would love to see her more. The best part about the show were its poetries and songs. I hope hotstar releases the entire album on youtube like grahan.
Binge watched Masoom on Disney Plus Hotstar. This family mystery drama keeps you intrigued. The story revolves around a dysfunctional family. There are secrets, lies and a protective father who is misunderstood.
Brilliant performances and some lovely music hold this drama together. A terrific Boman Irani steals the show delivering his best performance yet. One of the best family dramas in recent times.

Masoom is a mystery show directed by mihir desai. These are the positives and negatives.
Boman irani as balraj kapoor has given an outstanding performance. The character is grey, it has different shades and he portrays them all. Samara tijori is a talented prospect. As sana, she delivers her goods. She portrays a depressed character ailing from familial tensions. Upasana singh has done all types of comic roles but given a serious character she pulls it with ease. Specially in the last episode she acts to her credentials. Manjari faddnis and other co-actors do a good job. Basically everyone has a tense life.
The writing is pretty good actually. The characters are etched out really well. Everyone is going through a turmoil and everyone being good actors do a very good job. Its a slow burn so if you expect some adrenaline rush you are signing in for a wrong ride. It builds up its characters, its world, its atmosphere and then unfolds the mystery. The screenplay is slow but never gets boring. It never feels stretched.
The music and background score is exceptionally good. The punjabi songs are created with so much care and melody. It fits the world and gives you a good time. The bgm is very different from what we hear usually these days. A very sad, mystic undertone is played which gives a very eerie vibe to the show. There is some punjabi poetry as well. I am not a punjabi but its so well written that i don't feel alien to the language. I am anyway a sucker for good poetry irrespective of language.
The cinematography is excellent. The shots have such a rustic feeling. It almost feels pale, the world. The colour changes so brilliantly when the sequence shifts from present to when the mother was alive. From a yellow shade it turns to something we can call heavenly brown. Also it has set up a base for a second season as well.
Masoom is a must watch. If you liked tabbar you would definitely like this. I rate it 10 out of 10.

Starts a bit slowly, but with time gets more intense. The casting is brilliant. Boman Irani, Samara Tijori & Upasana Singh are really good. Not as gripping as 'Tabbar', but still it's a must watch.
A very sensitive topic beautifully dealt with.the acting was superb for all of them. Its a slow burn which grabs your attention from the first episode itself.
