I really love this show!! It's light and fun. An online friend of mine said it best...
"Funny and witty dialogue, interesting story each week and the dynamic between the two main characters is great - you are rooting for Marissa to warm up and accept Sarah as more than just a "driver".
I have watched the same episodes more than once and still really enjoy them! "
Disappointed that I didn't discover the show earlier. Wish it was getting more seasons. If it was given more of a chance I think it could've really bloomed into something trully great. Too bad. But I'll keep recommending it to friends!!!!

Love the character arcs for both of them. It is getting better with each new episode. As Wong and Winchester grow on each other, they grow on you.
The mysteries are not too hard. You are following along as they solved the case of the week.
I find the episodes refreshing and the plot unexpected.
While we know Marissa formerly had a career in law enforcement, we need to know more about Sarah's background.
I am sure we will find out what her skillsets are to make her a good detective and good partner for Marissa.
We are also getting to see Gary's background come forward. It would be nice to find out how these two formed a partnership.

Its meant to be a comedic detective show. Protagonist is a cynical ex-cop with a penchant for illegal shortcuts to get evidence. Her sidekick is a young nerdy do-gooder.
Together, they unravel mysteries and catch the villains. Unfortunately, the characters are without nuance and bite. The script could certainly be improved.
Having watched Episode One, my verdict is 5/10. Harmless after dinner entertainment. But, without teeth.

I have to say I love the show - it doesn't take itself too seriously - doesn't hide the fact that it's Canada - the interplay between the characters is fabulous - like any great "family" dynamic there is an undercurrent of respect whatever the "words" might be.
The character of Marissa Wong Is loud and brash - partly because she's fighting her own demons - but she is good at what she does
The character of Sarah Winchester is positive and eager - lots of ideas but unsure of herself which provides a perfect foil for Marissa
Marissa's business partner, Gary Johnson brings them together and provides another foil for Marissa
It's fun, tongue-in-cheek and an enjoyable way to spend an hour.

Rude, obnoxious, dislikeable PI with a kind, likeable assistant. How many times do have to see yet another one of these sitcoms, lacking any imagination. Ridiculous storylines, the overcranky boss who makes everyone around her miserable, so tiresome. I watched the first episode and although there were some mildly funny quips, it was increasingly hard to keep my interest. The one playing Wong, has the perfect face for the role though, she has that permanently angry scowl. I watched the first episode and lost interest 1/2 way through . I'm mystified how it got a 6.8/10 rating, I really am., I guess I'm in the minority on this one.
